Disconcerted Hourglass

We stand there, counting grains as they fall, hoping they are constant but realizing that there will be that last one, the final speck of life that fall through the narrow opening that is us and that is all there will be. Not sure if I got that right, but that is what I found here. An amazing piece of art Paloma

We are suspended between the two as the sand of our lives shifts beneath our feet. This piece encourages contemplation.
