Gutsy Guitars

Whilst Bruno Mars ascends new stars
Elvis Presley haunts old boudoirs
Second to none
They both have fun
Just strumming their gutsy guitars.

Blue Moon Over Graceland

When Elvis Presley dreamed on high
All he wanted to do was fly
Like Priscilla's blue moon
He ballooned with each tune
And it sure made his mama cry!

Elvis Presley

Elvis Presley, the King
A voice like velvet, he did bring
With gyrating moves, dads cried he’s no saint
But those gyrations made the girls scream and faint!

Elvis

When Elvis sang he rocked and he rolled.
His fans jumped up and shimmied, I'm told.
The folks in Tupelo
got all shook up below,
like devils and demons got a hold.

Elvis Died On the Toilet

Bacon and peanut butter loaves
He loved meat tender
He got fatter, sad and alone
He got out of bed
Scratching his head
Then promptly died on the throne

The King is dead.

ELVIS

Elvis was King;
Rock 'n Roll made all things swing,
And Jiving was the 'thing'
dropping a shilling
.. in  the snug juke box
    Presley,then
so unorthodox.

Elvis

Today I met Elvis
Not one who have left the building
The apple sometimes fall far from the tree
But he played to the crowd
Hands on to the ladies
My left foot kept the time
And he was older than 42

Elvis' Last Moves

It’s a sad way to remember “Old Elvis,”
a man who did more than most with his pelvis.
Must have moved it to a feverous Las Vegas pitch,
trying to move his last fried PB and banana samitch!

The “KING” died on the throne!

You were born with me
there were two of us
we were side by side
once upon a time
wished on a star

Both now with mom
she holds you tight
gives you a kiss
every night

Reflections
your spirits
together

brothers
again

Premium Member Unlike the Death of Elvis

A once-beloved language now graces no tongue
an adorable, furry species perishes overnight
A noble civilization sits forsaken 'midst her ruins…

All told, the pause for sorrow
        no more than ~
the passing of a fragile hour

Elvis and Kennedy Are Hiding In Plain Sight

Kennedy didn’t die in Dallas
And Elvis lives outside of Memphis
You see they got sick of the guff
And took identities that were good enough

So if you see an impersonator in their act
Looking good as a matter of fact
It may be the real deal
Hiding in plain sight comfortably real.

So precious
Our love
With you
With me
You fulfilled
My dreams
Come true

Loving you
Loving me
Forever more
Till eternity
So special
My life
With you

Lonely days
Never more
Sharing Nights
I adore
Our time
So joyful
Never blue

My sweetheart
My love
These words
I say
I pray
You say
I do

Suspicious Minds

On weekday nights when it grew
too quiet

Alex the angry barman
would strut towards the machine, somehow
disable its need for money, and
select a batch of Elvis songs

And when the first one came on, he'd be scanning
the few customers for signs of disrespect

'There, that's proper music, none of
your punk rock nonsense'

Do I never hard to remember.
They set the fires by Roman candles.
This the ways of china army,.
Do I ever be in heaven?
China sins are sinful.
All are hells that are coming.

Elvis Presley was on stage with his hips swinging
His movements kept women from hearing his singing
He could make so much money without moving his lips
All he had to do was go on stage and gyrate those hips

Premium Member The Elvis Story

Colonel Parker found a young kid named Elvis,
and asked, “How are we gonna sell this?
The way he shakes that thing,
they’ll soon call him the king
because of his fabulous pelvis.”

They called him the rock and rock king.
All the girls would cry, “Ring-a-ding-ding”.
All until the sad day
they would solemnly pray,
because his pelvis was up in a sling.

Happy Birthday Elvis!

Happy Birthday Elvis!

You're 74.

The King of rock

Missed evermore.

Your shoes of suede

And eyes of blue.

Your songs so sweet

And rocky to.

Amazing grace and

Hound dog tunes.

Will live forever in

Graceland's tomb.

If you cannot go

Help celebrate.

Come visit with me.

It's not too late.

I Can'T Find Elvis

I can't find Elvis
I have been looking everywhere for Elvis.
I told his ma'am that it would be alright.
I found his teddy bear and returned it to sender.
His blue suede shoes are in his bedroom.
And the pink car is located in the driveway.
The jailhouse isn't rocking
So don't get all shook up.
He 'll be home for Christmas
But right now i'm a hound dog
That can't find Elvis.

Premium Member Mister Elvis Presley

Mister Elvis Presley
Sang his songs expressively
In Aloha From Hawaii,
He sang them just for me, aieee!

I was 15 when he sang just for me
Straight from Hawaii via TV,
My heart skipped a beat,
I jumped from my seat,
His music had changed my reality.

Elvis has now left the building,
Gone is the music and gilding;
He died much too young,
How many songs left unsung?

Premium Member They Run For Elvis Purse Lee

He swivels his hips and the felines come running
I am not one of them, I am balcony sunning.
I watch them howl at his gyrations and grinds.
He is such a tease; and he attracts all kinds.

Since he started to dress up like his hero Elvis
He has more action than a street walker’s pelvis.
I roll my eyes, glad I threw him away when I did.
He is my ex-husband, who doesn’t even support our kid.
