Elvis Presley

Elvis Presley, the King
A voice like velvet, he did bring
With gyrating moves, dads cried he’s no saint
But those gyrations made the girls scream and faint!

Imagine if Elvis majored in English, he would probably be singing "You aren't anything but a hound dog". Good grammar doesn't always sound the best. Your clerihew described the King quite well.
