The cadaver of an emperor
Lying in wait at the bottom of the catacombs
He is halcyonily waiting
Not for bandits but for Life

Murky of echoes as ancestors surround them
Dusty whilst heat stuns my skin and breath
The sun settles as the pyramids carve me a memory

Salt from the sands of Egypt
Sprinkled into wine
To banish dark memories
Red wine mixed with myrrh
Infused with pink salt
Through wisdom

Unveiling the lack of discursive reasoning in the heavens

Premium Member A Camel In Egypt With Mumps

There was a camel in Egypt with mumps
That infected his humps with huge lumps

   Said, "You're better off dead"--
After finding some new lumps in his rump

Egyptians Sideways

The Egyptians walked sideways I figure to conceal the fine points of their figure. In a desperate scrimmage with their own body image diet mania they would prefigure.

Premium Member confidence of Pharaoh Akhenaten

Pharaoh Akhenaten liked his potbelly to show
He told the artists to draw him Rubenesque without woe
An Egyptian monarch with confidence back in the day
So, the skilled artesian painted Akhenaten exactly that way.

The Flight From Egypt

Do you have a different
Way of giving?
Perhaps you've been trying
To be like everyone else.
When you start to question your
Reasons for leaving,
Remember;
Even the Israelites fled Egypt.
You, too, need to go.

Egypt Unfinished

Mubarak's "soul" appears to be,
Mere shoe waves in the air,
Said he'd go, changed his mind,
The people are still there!

Now nothings been resolved,
Not a solitary thing.
But what we know, for certain,
CYBERSPACE is KING!

Premium Member Last Pharaoh of Egypt

Cleopatra, the last Pharaoh of Egypt, could have had Caesar or Anthony as a co-regent, but rather than putting such power in either man's grasp, she put leadership decisions in the path of an asp.

Egypt

Like a star...
in the sky.

Like a bird...
don`t be shy.

You will always..
be able to fly.

You will stand
you will pray.

No one can..
let you die.

you will always...
 be my sly.

O`my home...
O`my country.

I`ll never..
let you cry.

Premium Member Curse of Tutankhamun

History fascinated us
From the hither and the beyond
Kings and Queens

Tutankhamun
His curse
His life
His youth

Would I have ventured into that tomb?
Had I been an archeologist?
On that dig?
In Egypt?
Of course!

In some ways I think
his curse has returned

Alexandria, Egypt

I had a lekker time in Egypt
even though I didn’t visit a crypt

I drank, smoked, had fun with friends
later back on board someone stole my tens

still had fun on the last night there
and the cab ride was quite a scare

that was one of the ports I have seen
as a young sailor at age nineteen

Premium Member THE BLACK PIG

“There is nothing worse than ignorance in motion” Goethe

Roaming round the white altars
Where pharaohs raised their arms
The black pig of ignorance
Casts a passing shadow
Across the shafts of Lotus columns
Erect Egyptian guardians of stillness
Watching undisturbed over eternal time

Premium Member Gods of Egypt and Rome

passion and grapes
elixir of lots
     life mingled
     with venom

     power and youth
brush fire fingers

     flickering
          burning
               yearning

    caesarean coins
weigh down the neck

of the divine
so called
basket of snakes

Egypt

EGYPT
IN OUR eyes IT LAYS
IN OUR HEART IT STAYS

FOR ITS LOVE WE CRAVE

IT FILLS OUR DAY AND NIGHT
till THE TWILIGHT

IT IS THE PLEASURE
IT IS WHAT wE MEASURE

WE WOULD TRAVEL AWAY UNTIL MAY
BUT ITS LOVE WOULD STAY

WE HIDE UNDER HER SHADE
AFTER EVERTHING we MADE

EGYPT IN OUR eyes LAYS
IN OUR HEART IT STAYS

Egypt Holy Land

Violence in the streets
Mankind seeks democracy
Cyberspace is KING!

Mubarak refused
To step down as President,
Uprise, Heaven Sent.....

The future is clear,
Blood will spill and Armies fall,
Cyberspace rules all ...

As Plan B unfolds,
The Whole World Is Watching You
Go Forth, See this through...

Premium Member The Mystery of Egypt

The glory that was Greece; the grandeur that
was Rome. The mystery of Egypt and
the Pharaohs' giant tombs. A Sphinx-cat
guards all treasures past in Ancient Egypt's land

Today the Sphinx bears witness to miles and
miles of sand. Glory faded, dessication
~ Pharaohs' pyramidal desecration
