Dull
as a
board meeting
until he growled
“Who ripped out the fart?”
and then the room
exploded
in zany
laughs
Dull Lull Could Compel
We did determine had been dull,
And between each one was a lull;
Asinine;
All mine;
Ended up case of push and pull.
Jim Horn
Gloom
pervades
this bleak life
Sadness prevails
Dull
Light
shining
in darkness
Hope kindles smile

Goodbye youth and your charm.
I much prefer my hard-earned wisdom.
Rather do without the menopause.

Encased in dull green
Olive, sullen lime, broken
Sprayed fog delivered
Opening a dance filled night
A hue of green, unknown shade
Russell Sivey
grey clouds hang heavy lifeless
they hover there in a weighted silence -
timid spring bloom understandably intimidated

a blemished sky
smears greys to blurs
winter lingering

When the day is dull with no sunshine
It becomes a very dull day
In the morning it begins
In the afternoon spreads
Until the sky changes
Then the sun shines
For short time
Then hides
Sun
Love lived in the hearts of Him and Her,
But distance shrouded fear over Her
And to punish Her reluctance
He gave another girl a chance
And she brought triplets nine months later.

My
life
benign
so boring
nothing special now
I search in vain for excitement
I am trapped in a frustrating circle of the chase
I feverishly hunt my prey but my treasure always ends up being warped some how
Faced with loneliness and death,
I wanted to cry with every breath,
Black tears frozen in my soul,
This dull ache keeps me from feeling whole,
I sigh and die every day,
This clouding grief just won't go away.

Your
Dull Knife
Cuts
old Memories
like a lobotomy
I've drank
you before
Your song
plays in my head
like a stones skipping
across my face
My teeth
rattle
Like wind chimes
in cold air
There nothing
Left to say
But
I love you
death a dull life it is
you die and lie there
in the grave as dead skin
silent, idle, sleepy
those who step on you
children that cut you
thieves that come home
rain floods that come
no control you have
apart from lying there
motionless like a fool
Thick Skull and Dull
No Powerball Winners. Can you
imagine winning a half a billion
dollars.
Trump surely does have a thick skull;
With an intelligence null who is dull;
Truly tempestuous;
Mind a big mess;
Not only that gathered a lot of gull.
Jim Horn
There’s so little in this meadow;
The horizon seems to need medication,
Even raindrops have an insipid taste
I’m like a garden cursed
To never see the butterflies
For the flowers are all in their graves
I fear that maybe I had it much
And to suddenly feel it less
sacrificed on the name of joke
became laughing stock of the group
my friends reflection in the mirror
appears rather dull than bright
rust entered in the open wounds
scars that cover my whole body
friend is a word to use with care
growing ivy does not make them rose
It’s a gloomy day ~
All the clouds are grey
They seem in dismay
Sun’s not come to play
The wind does not stay
The leaves do not sway
No charming display
A drudging weekday
What do they convey?

Short days
Dim Rays
Late dawn
Grey morn
Chill start
Cold heart
Earth white
Soft light
Dull sky
Blue eyes
White grace
On face
Road clear
No fear
Wind wild
Shoes styled
Lace tied
Inside
Ice glide
Free ride
Air bites
Outside
Night creep
Sweet sleep
No worry, no controversy, nor weariness,
no hurry, love is air and wind,
nor anything can holdback a speck of tis,
twilight, dawn is a kind of tide like sunlight stir and kind,
now, those ones can is a prey,
because tis are who fancy to rewind already fun,
what we cannot repeat is a frail story.
my neighbour was a simple woman
quiet and modest in all ways
she led the kind of life
that most would never envy
from nine to five she'd pay her dues
but then on weekends would come to life
she'd get dolled up and put on heels
and turn into a real live beauty queen

The sun was muted today
It did not smile
Dark clouds blocked it all the way
They were hostile
The rain was slow in coming
It did not pour
I could not hear it drumming
There was no more
The wind did not blow my way
There was a lull
It's no wonder then today
I feel so dull

Sometimes I'm a gemstone
But I'm mostly just a pebble
I try to be a good person
But too often I'm a rebel
Sometimes I am colourful
An opal bright and shiny
Sometimes just a dull rock
From the bottom of the briney
Sometimes I am broken
And you see the diamond inside
Sometimes a fragile shell
Washed up with the tide
Refined on blazes
of judgments
haphazard
yesterday's zest
is a fortress
of embers
memorials burn
surrendering souls
into the fumes
plaguing your
emotions the
cinders awoke
allow the zeal
of the darkness
nudge you
to view
the yesteryear is near
a dimness &
not what
will last
