She slips under the green pine.
Her decorations devine,
Tied with a red bow.
Ted - he’s a bit slow.
Her wink scores a shine.

In the humble, sad dwelling,
last year's Christmas decorations
still permanent, the same ornaments...
signs and clues of poverty...
The snow is falling
Everything is covered in white
Stores are decorated
With colorful lights and decorations
Children building snowmen
And sledding
With joy in their eyes and heart
The wind blows and the kite flies
over the boardwalk and sand
like decorations above
people look and smile all day
uplifting and oh so free
dancing quickly with the clouds
the beautiful colored kites
blue and white flowers and decorations
framing the happy couple
... a picture perfect day
the happy tears and smiles intermingling
through wedding party and guests
... the joy was contagious
Christmas has come and gone,
My spirit's rather blue;
How quickly the season's passed,
I can't believe it's true
As I store the decorations,
My eyes fight back their tears;
Goodbye for now, dear Christmas,
I'll see you the following year
Moving through the street,
Downtown,
I encounter a rare sight,
Blouse with two blind eyes,
Dangling in the front,
But hidden underneath,
The eyes are not for seeing,
For decorations they are not,
But for imaginations,
Feelings,
Dreams.
My latest piece is 422 characters too long for a poem - who decided that?
So, it's under "short stories"
It's called "eve 2022"
Here's most of the URL (because you can't post those here - oh, no.)

The holidays are here
Time to gather with love and joy
Decorations, wreaths and mistletoe
The holidays are here
Lights glisten in a show with snow
Children thank Santa for their toy
The holidays are here
Time to gather with love and joy

A house is a house
But a home is more
It's the feeling of love
When you walk through the door
A home is secure and full of pride
It makes you feel safe and all warm inside
A home goes beyond the decorations throughout
It's the true meaning of what family is about
Form:
People gather from all the nations,
Eating, drinking and cheeering,
At the sight.
Christ the savior,
Expected tonight
Abundence of joy,
No dout in this day,
Decorations of holly,
Look at what he has created,
Open hearts,
Violence be gone
Every where there is faith

Broken souls,
Hopeless people,
walk the streets of my city.
Decorations lay on the ground,
decorating the streets instead of the signs.
They are scorched and black.
There is no celebrating to be done here,
For this is the lonely city of my heart.
And Valentines day is not welcome.
Snow and snowmen.....
what about mince pies
and a slice of Morecambe and Wise?
Crackers, food and parties,
with gingerbread, grapes and drums.
Performing plays in seasonal costumes.
Decorations hang around a family reunion.
Charity definitely begins at home.

Absolutely beautiful carols,
Decorations elaborate,
Faces glowing,
Happy instrumentals,
Jolly kisses,
Lovely mistletoe needing
Only pucker- power,
Quick-stepping reindeer,
Snow, treats unexpected,
Variegated wrappings.
Xmas yearly zaniness.

( Challenge poem)
My crispy red self
With my pronounced veins
My lacy end caps
Decorating gardens
Delighting bunnies
I can be used in floral decorations
Or eaten in a tasty salad
I calmly sit
Being all that and more
Reveling in my wholeness
Prancing only in my mind

It’s Thanksgiving Day.
First, we all convey
gratitude, for we are blessed.
Then comes time to dine.
Every dish is fine.
To this fact, we all attest.
Christmas time is here!
Gifts, goodwill, and cheer
fuel holiday delight.
Decorations glow;
kids play in the snow.
Church choirs sing “O Holy Night.”
Poinsettia plant
Flower of the Holy Night
Star of Bethlehem
The leaves symbolize Christ's blood
- gorgeous in the windowsill
Snow covered benches and grass in the park
I kick snow like sugar across the path
As the trees are creaking, noise in the wind
Winter is here, with white colored decorations
Covering these places I like to visit
But the air is fresh, while the stunning beauty,
Surpasses every encounter there is

So much noisy garbage going around:
empty words,
empty conversations,
empty excitement,
empty goals,
empty objections,
empty recommendations,
empty decorations without guts.
Noise for the sake of the Dirty Politics.
Recycled, sensationalizing, fake news.
Cycled storing of energy in a void -
In a trash bin of the abyss.
Greeness can be creative
Shrubs can be cut into different shapes
Animals, umbrellas and furnitures
Vehicles can be creative
With different designs and shapes
Fruits can be creative
Can be cut into different characters
Flowers and birds for decorations
It is a marvelous creation of man
For the beauty of arts and their followers

Putting up the decorations
And trimming the Christmas tree
Writing all the cards
This year from you and me
Your presents are wrapped
Only bows and tags to do
Until this moment I didn’t know
Just how much I loved you
So I will have a happy Christmas
With the love of my life
The very first Christmas
Since we became man and wife
Form:
Lit up snowmen on the lawn
In weather warm and sunny;
Dolphin Santa in a sleigh
Flamingo-drawn, so funny!
Christmas decorations change
Depending on location
And likely, there'll be many forms
Of festive celebration.
No matter where you choose to be
As holidays draw nearer,
The universal need for joy
This season gets much clearer.
