Remember Sapphire September
Warm, cornflower blue
September skies, escorting
In the beginning
Of pleasant cool, wet, autumn
Shortening colorful days.

An Old Hand Reveals Itself
I see no sign of forced entry...
just copper suns and cornflower blue,
have you been here all this time?
I don't remember inviting you,
and now all my voices are a chatter,
with threats I cannot construe.

Cornflower
symbolizing love
hopefulness and devotion
it is a spring bloom
wildflower rapture
in the deep blue of the skies
born of springtime dreams
bluebirds gossiping
in the orange gold of sun
the middle of day...

Down In the Summer
Pink throated hummers
deep in the colorful blooms
thrum the only tune
cornflower blue skies
hummingbirds in plums and reds
whipped cream clouds adrift
the scents of sunshine
follow the day everywhere
into ruby dusk...

Message On the Phone
Hi, I see
the stars
in your
cornflower blue eyes
and I am
a bit timid
to tell you that—
they make me
crave
to kiss you;
and I am
nervous too—
that we will chat
about them, the stars
and find how
sweet love is!...

Child of Mine
Child Of Mine
Cornflower baby blues twinkle as the little star,
Innocence and purity,
Uninfluenced.
Warmth, love and admiration,
His sweetness pierces my heart.
A future filled with possibilities,
Every thought, breath,
Keep him safe.
Love Never-ending,
Child Of Mine....

Cornflower Blue.
Then as a child left to run wild,
No worry or care no evils were there.
Watching the sun through eyelids just born.
Playing with nature in dens made of corn.
On an ocean of flowers so upright and blue,
We would play pirates on a great sea of hue.
Time existed only in seasons,
No need of when?
No need of reasons....

Spring Flowers
Azalea of new
Bring the cornflower New
Evening Sun absorbed by the Glory of the snow
Calling upon the peach blossom slow
Ever the Lilacs are mixed fair
Dote on the Gerberas over there
Abridge and count petals of a Greater Celandine
Round about the Croas shines
Irises smile
At the Spoonwood for a mile
Nearing the sweet pea as Axalea of New.

Cornflowers- a Duo-Rhyme
"Stems of Cornflower blue"
Sensational colours and tone,
rows of Cornflowers stood alone,
slender with its gray-green leaves,
bright blue flowers,
also being pink, white or purple,
native to Europe,
with its diuretic properties,
beauty to the eye and touch,
floral fans can never get enough,
of the beauty and heart stopping sight,
helps in all sorts of forms,
does this perfect and diuretic corn....

Masterpiece
Paint me..
a picture of disaster
of Self pity
of little worth
of meaninglessness
on a cornflower blue background
and red brush strokes
signify me..
put me on canvas
on display
for all to see and
criticize
because even
free wine and
hors d’oeuvres
will never be
enough
this grand
opening
isn’t for them
or even
for you
it
is
for
Me
I am a masterpiece...

She Gave Off That Vibe
She wore a Gothic look on the sands of time
Looking a bit maniacal, but this could be the make-up
Was she trying for Steampunk or something newer?
Something she created for herself? I was curiously curious.
Her eyes were more azure than cornflower, but definitely blue.
I could see her perched on the arm of Poe’s chair
Impatiently waiting for him to write The Raven.
She gave off that vibe....

Third One of Many
Over where the Delphiniums bloom Cornflower Blue
The Zephyr blows on quiet morns
Then the excited voices come to play
And screams resound in heat of day
Where splashes and laughter
Are common things
Stress disappears
Joy relaxation brings
Children smile with dimples
As water drips from hair
Drenched like salamanders
Once again where Delphiniums live
(Jotted on any available paper)...

Poetically Sees Abound Depthless Water
Poetically Sees,
majesty cornflower blue,
calmer uncompleted whorl grace ripples,
abound depthless water.
Sunlight’s touch
only by its flaming torchlight;
its unruffled beauty
hidden by aged somber twilight;
silent to ancient exterior world.

Melancholy
Moonless darkness of gloomiest spirits, she sat
Engrossed in sorrowful thoughts
Like the sun during a storm, she was
A dreary persona dead with hopelessness
Numbness swept through her veins, and then like a
Cloud blanket cracked apart by rays of light
Her cornflower eyes glistens in pain
Of the numerous things that swayed her life
Little by little she learned the way to survive
Yet it took away her time...

Acrostic
Hell In a Handmaiden Basket
He hath become religious of late
prostrated before the virgin Mary
Cornflower blues blown to wild violets
and thin lines puckering in concentration
Prayers spilling in loud sputters from his mouth
She hath listened a time or two
to testimonies led by callused hands
Run lukewarm holy water upon him
Coaxing gentle promises from cold maidens
candlelight vigils by the goose feather altar
Ordered 10 Hail Marys, and 5 Our fathers
and she bled for both of their sins...

The Lovers
I like your eyes, a cornflower blue.
You do like my dimple, a double.
I’m a poet, and meant just for you.
You’re my avid fan, an inspiration.
Till death do us part, our promise.
We’re lovers, by day and by night.
We watched the sunset, we kissed.
We had differences, and we fought.
We reconciled, then, we made love.
But lately,
I don’t understand you;
Is there someone else!?
Non Cheri, just I’m not feeling well.
I’m having your baby, two months.
O gee, I thought…....

The Undeserved Blue Reputation of Blue
Blue is labelled a moody color of low spirits
but so many beautiful things are of this hue.
Like wavy oceans with streaks of silver that fuel us.
Cornflower-iris -prairie bells garnishing our hearts
the blue gaze of newborns harboring the purist love
a robin's egg that will soon turn into nestled song
sapphire skies that bring us closer to our god
keeping galaxies and pink granite dreams aloft.
Blue is not a hue of the down and lowly,
but a splash of peace-tranquility and hope....
