Rip

I was never consulted about my birth
Well I know it’s impossible but
Like a dreamer cosy in slumber
If asked I would have elected
To stay in bed instead

Rest in peace

With Consulted and Resulted

When with you I continually consulted,
Final thought in my mind had resulted;
Further reviewed,
And rather crude;
All of my irony many others insulted.

A No Cookbook Wife

She never was the kind of cook
who consulted a recipe book,
and he never complained but swallowed.
He ate with that habitual look
to the ER that always followed.

Trump An Intellectual

Trump An Intellectual

Trump thinks that  he is an intelectual;
After we consulted with a confessional;
Not only repugnant,
Was also redundant,
And found to be absurd and ineffectual.

With a Politician Consulted

With A Politician Consulted

With a politician we often consulted;
Horrendous things they have resulted;
Only bad brought out,
Without  a doubt;
Voted for them and have been insulted.

When and Then

When in doubt of which course to take
When in sincerity God has been consulted
When adversities knock you of the existing course
Then hold steady and let God carry you by His winds

NUANCES

I consulted with Spinoza
he spoke of God and Nature
I want something ovid
that cant be destroyed
Truman and Eisenhower
grew the Military Industrial complex
but in my dreams
I cannot deny that I'm agog
but since they have gone
My life has never been the same

Stuka' No 1

I consulted with your everyday Cleopatra
they said it wasn't there
Ike and Tina argued anyway
saying it is not fair
I bombed Croatia's Library creativity
on a Stuka'

I dreamed Patagonia was healthy
in the spring
I saw a picture on the wall
but it doesn't bother me at all
Can we say Amen , anymore ?

Two Cents

There are many who may take offense
At advice you may choose to dispense.
You won’t get in a rut
If you keep your mouth shut
So resentment won’t therefore commence.

For it’s best, when the moment presents,
That you keep yourself up on that fence;
Though if you’d been consulted
None would be insulted
By offering up your two cents.

Don'T 'Brie Leave' a Word

I consulted a tyromancer To see if I could find an answer She consulted some cheese And told me so much sleaze I’m convinced she’s just a fat chancer! Written after I read an article in the dentist’s waiting room today and I discovered that Tyromancy is form of divination involving observation of cheese, especially as it coagulates 09-19-17

JAIL FOR ANIMOSITY? The ADVOCATE Tasmania

Inciting "animosity" in Tasmania could become an offence under proposed new laws and attract two years' imprisonment.

Consultation: State changes to punishable offender's actions.

Anyone found guilty of inciting anger which has the propensity of turning violent may be jailed for up to two years.

It's extreme to the utmost and should be consulted out of exitance.

Fight For Love

We were in love
And we knew it
It was not lust
But we blew it

Assumptions were made
Middlemen consulted
That was the fall
Of love unconstructed

Love not nurtured
Is love denied
How dare you be timid
Of love divine

Have you found love
Hold on to her
Be not overly courteous
Fight you must for her

We are in love
And we know it
It is not lust
Will we blow it

Before the Show Begins

Cell phones not quite silenced;
Playbills get perused.
Bathroom needs attended to;
Latecomers excused.

Cough drops start unwrapping;
Jackets drape on laps.
Hands relax anticipating
Lots of fervent claps.

Watches are consulted;
Ushers stroll the aisles.
Tourists glance around to note
The New York City styles.

Lights at last are dimming;
Conversations cease.
Finally, it’s time to let
The actors say their piece.

The Only Facts I Am Sure Of

The only facts I know of for sure,
That are likely to be even slightly pure,
And make me feel safe to explore some more,
Without first locking my back door,
And checking my passwords are secure,
And consulting my cat for good measure.
Are those that have been fact checked,
Double checked,
And then checked once more to be sure,
By someone who has been checked out twice before,
And has consulted their cat at least twice within the last year.

Glory Won Mailbox Competition

When consulted, the mailman said,
"Sure, put a little daisy on the mailbox if you want."
So we all put on daisies.
Martha put one daisy.
I put up two, the girl down the street put on a marigold.

The mailboxes were now in a little competition.
One day we discovered Glory had bested us all.
Her mailbox was saturated in a bed of purple clematis.
The joke was on her.

She received this note “mail cannot be delivered due to bees
until removal of bush”.

We Koi Fish

we koi are not normally curious about debris dumped into our pond
This time things were different
A land animal had been dumped
One of the giant land animals!

We swam closer and found a channel open
Not that close! Papa Koi chided us
"I have seen their kind before.”
He had barely escaped one of them.

The pretty pink haired girl stared at the koi.
They were vibrantly golden, pretty.
She had consulted her runes this morning.
She was to find the leader; but how?

I Was Not Consulted

I WAS NOT CONSULTED
by
JOHN M. ARRIBAS

Here I am, I was not consulted
But unceremoniously evicted
Into the cold uncaring world
Stranger then handed me furled
Into the hands of my ejector
She now becomes my protector
Forced to become a remora
Simple smile turns into an aura

Soon my suckling days will end
On my own, I’ll need to defend
My actions from here on out
Mine; that’s, what life’s about
Times of sorrow, times to elate
Adjust and carry my own freight

Wishes

I want our lives to be a wonderful chronicle
          Cuz’ all you are to me is but a miracle

I want our lives to be void of obstacles
          A living rhythm of heavenly canticles

I want our picture hung up on a pinnacle
          So I’ll stare at it and write you an article

I want your love, I have consulted the oracle
Give it to me and I’ll save it in my receptacle

Sit here with me let’s ride on this curricle
Leading us straight to the end of this chronicle
