JAIL FOR ANIMOSITY? The ADVOCATE Tasmania

Inciting "animosity" in Tasmania could become an offence under proposed new laws and attract two years' imprisonment. Consultation: State changes to punishable offender's actions. Anyone found guilty of inciting anger which has the propensity of turning violent may be jailed for up to two years. It's extreme to the utmost and should be consulted out of exitance.

The gaps were just to make it easy for you read, however I hasten to say this was not tongue in cheek. It actually appeared in the Tasmanian Advocate newspaper as a true story. As a codicil to the story, the consultation did take place, but was desputed by a majority number and tabled for further consideration at a later date. All quite true.
