Do It Again

Engulf me
Surround my body
With that suffocating mist
slowly, slowly

tighten your grasp
Constrict my body
Strangle my throat
Stop all my breath

As i start to weaken
let me fall onto the ground
As I regain my senses
Slowly, slowly
Do it again

Spun Gold Crash

Today is broken so I’ll cry,
they say each day’s a new start;
Spray that sunshine on your face,
grey clouds for now I’ll fall apart;

One by one stars light up the gloom,
done with thoughts that constrict me;
Spun gold starts with a comet’s crash
won the battle I choose to be free.

Withering

Time…
Wilts away

Memories…
Fading moments of a better yesterday

Life…
Constrict in place for your freedom

Society…
Deterioration of its innocence

Leaders…
Decay the ability to make a difference

Friendship…
Shriveled from the distance

Earth…
Wasting away

My soul…
Disintegrate

Uncomfortable

A contemptuous shimmer in his eye.

His body coils along the trunk.

An empty stomach fuelled only by anger.

Looming ominously from the sky.

He hangs from the branch,
lolling, staring, waiting.

Waiting for a victim
to constrict and inflict.

He stares.

He waits.

He starves.

Too late?

No. Not today.

Top Gear

Jeremy Clarkies underpants, voluminous they’re not
They’re oh so very tiny, but Jerry thinks they’re hot
Though Jeremy appears to be, big and tough and strong
In reality he likes to wear, a silky, lacy, thong
These garments can constrict a bit and often bring a tear
But a little pain is worth it when you know you’re in top gear

Lost Love

what is this feeling, not grief my heart wail, constrict and hurt why the promise feel distant i still wait in vain. **** distance gives way to longing a need to meet and devour the strong thread binding two hearts grows weaker with time. © (3 Feb '15) Contest: Dodoitsu by Dr. Ram

Our Only Identity

Consciousness
our only Identity
seems to constrict itself
with a simultaneous birth
of self and world..
This is all"seeming"
as Consciousness
our only Identity
 knows only itself..
All the "seeming" is
a temporary coloring
not an alteration
of Consciousness
our only Identity..
Coloring/Consciousness
a dance of polarity
of Consciousness alone
our only Identity...

The Strict Would One Restrict

Please, quit saying that one may be strict
And peoples movements hardly restrict.
The strict could your blood vessels constrict,
A people confine to a district:
Have the rather free into jail tricked
And forgotten while God's Time ticked.

They just have strong links: 'strict' and 'restrict',
Because 'Strict' often says 'Restrict':
A criminal's captured neck constrict...

Remembering

There’s a memory I have

of a past without a future.

A memory of a time that returns,

again and again,

to hold my mind enthralled,

to constrict my chest and tighten my throat

and clench my eyes and teeth and then,

with a single shuddering sigh,

release a tear.

I will seek this memory again.

And again. And again.

It is my loveliest memory of them all.

Silk Rope

My stint is to constrict,
Like a serpent on the offence.
Twisting and squeezing,
My pulchritudinous polka dots.

Whether my complexion burns like fire
Or freezes like ice
My chassis and tenuity hold true.

Versatility makes my copies
As I'm prerequisite to all.
Children abhor me,
Corpulent simpletons do likewise.
Prestigious parliament parade me
As I'm a sign of social standing.

Unbroken

I felt wars break in my heart—
violence my voice could not
bear to fight alone—

and still, despite the lies
I sometimes believe, I stand
each day in the strength
of my creations, weaving hope
into miracles—thread by doubtful thread,
even as the world screams
or turns away—

even as my hands
constrict my own throat—
I bear the unfathomable ache
of crafting the unbroken.

Nothing Is Greater

Though swarms of bees try to make their way,
Across my country they cannot stay,
For a force that’s greater than their queen,
Shall wipe them out till they’re unseen,
Though plagues of snakes attempt to bite,
Constrict themselves with all their might
They cannot stand against my King
For he will annihilate them with his mighty wings,
No ruler is greater than my king.
Victory! Victory! The angels sing.

Tranquility

Tranquility

Words constrict the silence
disturbing the peace
of unlimited tranquility..
Words float briefly
in an infinite tranquil sea..
Islands perhaps..floating.. and disappearing
and becoming once more the sea..
The tranquil sea gives birth to a plethora of
words and expressions..vocabularies dancing..
and fading..
Tranquility is that which we are
and which we are longing to know:
our present national lament...

Good Luck Monsanto

my voice quakes with the gnashing of teeth, my breath sulfur and firey embers.
beneath the weight of my powerful paws, the entire solar system strains and bruises.
i shake with the force of a mighty wind, my ropes of fur spreading out and latching onto the plantation of the worlds on which i stand.
and they constrict, and they choke out, and they kill off.

i plague the system.

my essence is satisfied; the purpose of my being.

Ode To My Java

I hear you brew
the sounds you make
I love every whistle
How long must it take!

The scent fills the room
Coffee heaven
In full bloom
I inhale
As I watch the pot fill
HURRY,
I think as my cup is empty still!

It is time
I fill O’cup
That first sip
The moment
it touches my lip
Then my tongue
It’s not just the taste
I know what’s to come

Constrict my vessels
One by one
Warm me up
On cold days
Coffee does so much
With little credit
In many ways

Coffee.

Stillness

where stolen breath and sun stuck eyes
when wave bows before the break
in shadow want where lips taste
that insanity break
when all seems well
that silk swallow as rasping sheets constrict
the moment when loss accepted
that drifting talk of self and thought
that eye closed wind caress
in nights of summer haunt
where grasping memories dissipate
from dust crumble fingers
when mist and lake share a kiss
as raven spook meets streetlights gaze
just wai

Colder

I constrict and recoil from the bitterly cold wind
The sun so bright it hurts through the clear sky
Soft melancholy music bounces from the perfect acoustics
And I drink my despair ravenously as I cry
My winter's pain is almost too much today
Profound sadness shoves me violently,
tearing my old sweater
scuffing my worn shoes
I mutter some passive nonsense to myself
Hoping tomorrow it will all go away
Hoping tomorrow I'll find someone besides
me to accuse

Hanging Out Clothes

When staying at home hanging out
You’ll find me, without any doubt,
In special attire
Which all should require
When lazing is what it’s about.

Why bother with getting all dressed
When no one will then be impressed?
To be comfy is key
And, if one would ask me,
I’d say sweat pants and t-shirts work best.

Relaxing looks effortless, though,
Here’s a tip one should take from a pro:
Ditch all clothes that constrict
And then all can predict
That good feelings will flourish and flow.
