Haiku for a Comet
Lone drifting iceball
Unnoticed mote in Heaven,
Flirt with a bright star,
To gain a long bridal veil!
IN STARDUST TRAILS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
fiery tear across celestial sails
whispers your name in stardust trails
I am a comet.
Zipping by
Burning bright
but only for a moment.
Then I am gone.
Off to another planet
Another galaxy
Another universe.
your place is not
between the stars
but in my heart
to light the dark
that kill the love
i' felt inside
when you was
passin thru my life
I watch stars crash, more certain now
Than ever before that we've left the past
Far behind, down, and slowly come
To terms that we're running out of time.
Also be ready to see some Green!
A Green Comet can be seen
In the night sky, these next few days
Beautiful sights, in beautiful ways!
Missus Claus had to trudge down to jail,
Once more toting with her Santa's bail;
Seems where people all shop
He let red trousers drop:
He enjoys showing biddies he's male.
Thinks he’s all that plus a pound of sugar.
I would not trade him for a nose bugger.
See the weird reindeer Comet?
He makes me want to vomit.
He’s dating another seasoned cougar.
A comet was once known as a blazing star.
Now she’s a wild flower in meadows afar.
Sometimes called a button snake root, a floral czar.
A brilliant center of admiration, bit of a quasar.
So many people have a bee in their bonnet
Uptight and cranky, makes me wanna vomit
Mellow out, great advice
It's a very small price
Soar through the heaven's like Halley's Comet
Streaking
across night sky
fire lit luminary;
incandescent celebrity.
Ecstasy of enthusiastic leap
is this long-jumper of heaven;
in sun’s passionate set
he earns his fame,
streaking.
Galaxy you shine of dreams
Comet races like my heart
Big Dipper comes a courting
Dressing the night with stars
Bed of clouds soft and warm
Pillow talk deserves an answer
Swelling moon full of charm
In your arms star of the banter
night after fall
seduction by darkness
song hidden in silence
measures lying
between contours
shadow fields
stillness
the color of dreams
stillness
fields shadow
contours between
lying measures
silence in hidden song
darkness by seduction
fall after night
Streak of light
"Cross a darkening sky
Travel afar
To meet my eye.
Not seen for many
A decade past
Return once more
through spaces vast.
Diminishing brightness
Fades to grey
This rock and ice
Recede away.
Once more to hurl
Through time and space
Away from us
The human race.
the comet bursts past the stars in the sky
it looks like a giant fire ball, on fire
I think of Hailey’s Comet
Bringing Mark Twain into the world
And taking him back out seventy-six-years later
Hailey’s Comet is due back in our sky in the year 2061
I will see it if I can stay alive until I am 109.
The stars at night
shelter all
wandering fireflies...
The moon only appears
when the coyotes,
the werewolves
cry
for her...
Here in this world
I'm a meteor,
fleeting comet...
I don't exist here...
I'm from others
worlds,
other eras...
I just glimpse myself
when love
calls me!.
This Christmas Eve will be over soon,
Vixen and Cupid are over the moon;
Santa, Dasher and Dancer,
Ate baked beans with old Prancer,
Poor, Donner and Blitzen are in a swoon.
A comet blazed across the evening sky
Soothsayers took up Armageddon’s cry
Suddenly the whole world went awry,
Hordes of people thought they’d die
More reasonable people gave it a try
But some said science does not apply,
And I, I gave up with a disgusting sigh.
The comet streaks
Across a moonlit sky
Through the cumulus clouds
It catches your eye
Unsure of where it's been
Unsure of where it will go
It's only caught in a fleeting moment
As the clouds let loose their snow
Anything can happen
On a moonlit winter night
The power of nature's majesty
Can make everything feel all right
Listen to poem:
Streaked across the astral sky
a cosmic snowball friend
off to points unknown
in space and time
and time again,
a smile imprinted
on my mind,
though sometimes..
your long dusty ion tail
makes me sneeze
meek's deep solar wind
left a bright arching trail
and in its fading beauty
an aching learned
so well,
life and love are fleeting..
As radiant as the Star of Bethlehem there it is!
An emerald beacon from the heavenlies.
A sign from the Creator that it is almost time to announce the coming of the King.
He is using another extraordinary sign with the color GREEN.
Green means "go."
Green means move forward but with caution to the other moving traffic.
Comet Lovejoy--a true beacon.
We embarked upon a voyage
across the stormy Irish sea
The ship’s known as the ‘vomit comet’
please don’t throw up if you sit next to me!
I can cope with dirty diapers
and don’t baulk at the sight of blood
but when it comes to dealing with vomit
I’ll confess that I’m no bloody good!
What I want to say
Would race across the universe
Unimpeded, unemcumbered, unrestrained
Accelerated by the force acting behind it
By my beloved Newton's second law.
By stars in her eyes
By his heavenly body
By clouds of ideas
And by clusters of dreams
What I would say would travel
Upward, outward, and beyond
Like a comet of words
With a tail of tales
If I could only tell.
In the dark,
of the night.
A great comet,
streaked across,
the night sky.
The great comet,
burned so intensely.
It burned so bright.
The seas started to boil.
The land was laid to waste.
Soon came the great quakes.
An thousand foot tidal waves.
Destruction like I've never seen.
The comet ripped open the earth.
An laid waste to all the beautiful trees.
