Money does not make us

More

Not the richer

Nor the poor

Money makes us all

Less

Than we are

People Unworthy
People Unworthy

Are some people who are unworthy
And others who have been earthy
Concerned about the environment
Where the good Flint water went
What about Christie in New Jersey?

Premium Member Word Morph - Dope To Lost
Once while I was high on DOPE
I truly lost sight of the DOVE
Which cost me my LOVE
Such a terrible thing to LOSE
My God I felt so LOST

Naughty Sexet
A poem by my far away friend
inspired the following ditty
in the form of a sexet:
Jack did, Diane did not
Jack was much too hot!
Bodies on fire
with desire
The Earth
moved

Inspired by Christie Moses' Naughty Ditty.

Perched, At Her Sherwood Mall
Keep hitting the reset listening unto The Pretenders, learning to crawl...
Her beautiful Christie Hyde and two thousand miles it must be, Christmas
Time for love's children our heart's were singing; as this snow was falling down ?
Joyful their colours these leaves a crown cast of autumn's bossom; his solitary sea gull....

Word Morph – Cold To Warm
until our worlds collided my body was COLD
my life before you was bound in black CORD
like the colour of my cave and the mood of my WORD
now, your love brings me light, your soul is my WARD
your breath gives me strength, and your heart keeps me WARM

Premium Member Word Morph- Hate To Love
The world is filled with too much greed and HATE.
So many are never satisfied with what they HAVE.
Was man happier when he lived in a CAVE?
I want to live my life within a gentle, caring COVE.
I will make my heart a place where the greatest possession is LOVE.

Secret Adversary
Secret Adversary

I view your effort
With a lot of piety:
You seem to bomb
A deserted city!
You need surveillance
You need espionage
To flash me out
Out of camouflage.
Yours is noise power
Mine; wise strategy
Will find out soon
Who meets tragedy!

Premium Member Discovering Agatha Christie
I discovered Agatha Christie, the author, when I was eleven.
I started out with “And then there were none”
after seeing it made into a move “The Ten Little Indians”.
None of her other books seemed quite so over the top fascinating.
But, I kept reading them because she had a thrilling way with words.
And I had a love of reading mysteries and biographies....

Written Words
The heart
That bears witness to itself
Expresses not for the benefit of others
But for itself
Allowing the tingle of emotion
To carry it on
Into the lighted day
Of reality

Take lightly
The words of others
For their tongues speak
Before their hearts can think
For they not know
The heart
That exposed itself
To the world

for my dear friend, Christie...

The scrabble app says it misses me
It sends a notification to remind me
It's lonesome without me.

Let Poirot use his little gray cells,
Let Miss Marple knit too much,
Let me just catch up.

Dust the unused corners,
Sweep away the cobwebs,
Throw out the crumbs

Of procrastination.

My son is nine years old;
    we laugh, read, cry, paint,
        draw, watch cartoons, fish,
play at the park, and do homework

I love having a son:

After eight years of trying we still
have not conceived. When my dream of having a
baby girl has come true, her name will be......

When the Mighty Fall
At Newark Airport, Christie* tried
A quicker way to get inside,
Expecting they would let him slide;
Alas, though, entrance was denied.

The V.I.P. line he’d once used,
When cockiness from him just oozed,
Was blocked by police, but Christie mused
That he was just a bit confused.

For when the “mighty” tumble from
The lofty place from which they’ve come,
To our derision they succumb;
And sympathy? Not one small crumb.

Christie Moses
To beloved Christie Moses,
A mind so pure and sharp.
Nestled in your stanzas,
Lies the beauty of your heart.

For you are the stove,
  That keeps poetry soup warm.
Writing from your soul,
  In many styles and forms.

The wordplay’s astonishing,
Each poem is sweet and subtle.
The romantic flow of words,
  On every poem cuddles.

The fragrance of your writing;
Fresh like a bouquet of roses.
This poem’s for poetry soup’s,
  Beloved Christie Moses....
