Written Words
The heart
That bears witness to itself
Expresses not for the benefit of others
But for itself
Allowing the tingle of emotion
To carry it on
Into the lighted day
Of reality
Take lightly
The words of others
For their tongues speak
Before their hearts can think
For they not know
The heart
That exposed itself
To the world
for my dear friend, Christie
