a wise man will know
finding a worm in a pear…
better than half worm
10th January 2016
A bedtime kiss,
For you my sweet,
May all your dreams
Be of teddy bears and treats
A fox slips easily through
the bars
of a garden gate.
Dog barking,
chained to
an imaginary kennel.
a single stone
placed on the scale~
the smallest weight
we offer to explain
why we did
what we did.
a door left ajar~
not open,
not shut~
the quiet posture
of a reason
we’re still
trying to believe
a huge sombrero
his visage in dark shadow
lying eyes hidden
Inspired by picture!

A wrong to aright
Give thought to those in power...
empower defeat

A pristine crystal droplet
For but a moment, suspended
Cascades with abandonment
And splashes on my sorrow
A
Tiny
Dancer flits
Upon a stage
Buzzing…pirouettes
Among flowers;
The dance of
Bumble
Bees.

Tiny
Tobacco
Worm makes its way
Through my tomatoes’;
Spitting brown goo,
Tobacco
At me…
Augh!
A
healthy
harvest is
a farmer’s joy;
his dedication
has produced a
good income
and large
stores.
A man's grace is to see beauty from the start,
To see love in her face,
And read it with his heart.
a sequence of sighs
pervades the atmosphere~
the view scene is blurred

A million tiny feet dropped from the sky,
tap-danced on our handheld roof;
then your lips danced on mine.
a new coat of paint
the flavor sense of the sky
at the crack of dawn

a small locket
glows in the dust~
faint pulse
under its clasp,
the memory inside
trying to breathe again
a single breeze slips by~
a warm hush of late day
carrying light the way
memory drifts~
quiet, unhurried.
a young pristine plant
at the bottom of a hill ~
fresh life's beginning

a floating lily
frog rides back to spawning bed
with contented fish

"A broken promise is like glass in your toes...
it always leaves a scar."

A
lot of
people cry
when peeling
onions; the trick is
in not forming
such a strong
emotional
bond
a seed of love fell
in my heart’s fecund landscape
now a tree in bloom
This is my first senryu
• A .47 caliber pistol + my faith in humanity
• There is a severed human head
• I'm currently trying to find
a shadowed
figure drifts forward,
ink-born,
unbound by
anything but trees that lean
toward his still path.
