Premium Member Body and Soul

The soul strives upward
  yearning to cast aside flesh

Though one that tore his body asunder
found a universe did not mesh

Cloak the Wheels of Time

This shade of dawn
Makes this collage
Cast aside
This wicked wind
Emerge this night,
A cool green air
Cloak the
Wheels of time

We

Comes the night when we are together
Dreams cast aside, we are now one
Stars are out, shining brightly
So much more than the sun
Know, I will please you
Now, tenderly
Loving
We

You left me all alone, cast aside used goods, to be ditched discarded forsaken and tossed away like lint: though you swore to love me until death do us part.

No point in a phone when you're no longer known
And the sound of alone... is a dialling tone

Premium Member Birthday Girl

Her face lit up with a smile
radiance, ebullience
for the longest while
plastic fork and spoon
cast aside, napkin astride
the floor

as the latest

Of One Family

Did they believe
Their faith alone would not grant
Certainty in their protection

That they would be
Cast aside
Debt of imperfection
And disloyalty
Shunned unworthy

For what only
Amounted to
One mistake

No matter how much
They disagree?

Earthquake

I felt my whole world tremble
when you told me of your plan.
To fulfill your needs regardless
in the arms of another man.

To cast aside our marriage
just to meet your own desire.
To throw away our plans and dreams
'cause I can't give what you desire.

Clothing

Silence is ruthless
When alone and forgotten
The notion of useless
Threads through the fabric like cotton
Stitches grief into the seams of my soul
The once rich color fading after every wash
Until I'm nothing more than tattered clothing
Cast aside and used...

My Path Unbroken

Refusing to be labeled,
  rejecting type and cast

With choices so enabled,
  my freedom first and last

All fantasy as token,
  its myths now cast aside

My path remains unbroken,
—false branding singed with lies

Zombie

Into life she summoned, the poet long dead,
With the sway of her hand, the high priestess…

Cast aside, his errand seeing the end,
Deprived alas! Of both life and death,
Through the darkest streets he looms in unrest,
Seeking an elixir for his wretched loneliness…

Premium Member Poetry For a Softer Spring

Some syllables strewn along paths in rows,
spent images cast aside where wisdom grows.
In ruffled rubble a glean glints in tones -
missed stars settled amidst sparkling stones.

Short days turn into weeks
months melding into years
ever endless changes
the numbers and the fears

new things growing older
wisdom’s elders cast aside
for aging is the future
youth cannot abide.

Premium Member Abandoned In Synonyms

once impulsive now

deserted forsaken
                  cast aside
jilted
stranded
              rejected
dumped
ditched
                 unused

neglected
             idle
                unoccupied
uninhabited

I stand empty

      words fail me

Falling

First of Fall
Moonlit drive
First of all
Still alive
First to fall
I survived
Fell to pieces
Cast aside
Fell apart
Failed to die
Fell for Love
Cupids lie
Fall forward
Fall behind
Fall forever
Love is blind
Fall for you
Fall this time
Fall for love
I wouldn't mind

Gone are the days between the South and the North,
Long be the battle of opposites.
Old answers to youth with white versus black, and so forth.
Red, white, and blue ... unravels true regrets.
Young cast, aside from a few, a film the likes of Vonnegut's.

Indigenous Souls

Restless indigenous soul
Scraping the sky for new experience

Men drown their days in sequence
Bone eyes cast aside in assumption
Work contracts to forcefeed diligence

Its a pity to stay glued and arranged
Love knows no mobility like fame

Circulate your sordid notes
We will join irresistibly

Cry Not Your Tears

Cry not your tears for me,
For I have not gone, can't you see?
I live forever within you,
At every waking moment
and in the darkest night,
Think of me and I will be there,
A tiny speck of light.
Cast aside your sorrowful nights,
And your tearful days,
for I am with you
in oh so many ways.

Premium Member The fleeting wanting more gaze

Listen to poem:
Our stranger eyes
met, ever so briefly,
in a wanting more gaze,
that could have so easily
been dismissed, cast aside
and thrown out,
as irrelevant and fleeting.
But, we hung on just long enough
to inspire a meeting,
that grew to a greeting,
and to the everlasting love
we now share together.

Beck and Call

Is your greatness unendorsed
by godly symbols old and new

Is your strength contained and held within,
as broth begets the stew

Is your message clear with no defense,
either martial or sublime

With freedom at your beck and call
—all stricture cast aside

Faded Image/Florette

As old beauty fades, I crumble,
cast aside – in mirrored stumble –
broken doll, eyes closed, dreams crashing
longing gaze of passion’s passing.
Images - life’s sad display of final tumble.

Love Amongst the Stars

When you give your heart to another
You bathe in the warmth of the sun
You walk tall upon the earth
Tall enough to touch the stars
You make love beneath the moon
And Venus guides your path
As you navigate the Milky Way
But when you are cast aside
You crash back down to earth
And inhabit planet Solitude
