It's nice when things work out.
carrie had eyes so green
she was often very mean,
at home late at night,
her parnets would fight,
and thats the part no one had seen.
mistakes love and glitter
Carrie Meeker was a sleepwalker,
Her doctor prescribed beta blocker;
The drug acted full whack
stopping her sleep and walk
Now she is a real chronic squawker.
Three manic morons: Moe, Curly, Larry
Ante up for a talking canary ~
It attracts boobirds
They cry, 'How absurd' ~
Clever jokers rename her 'Miss Carrie'
I awoke last night to the thought of you.
I was alone.
Smelling the sheets for your sweet scent.
I closed my eyes to find you.
As dreams of you came.
I remember smiling.

My oak has an attitude
I must clean up all her leaves
No gratitude! She is just
acorn in my side!

An agent on an assigned order,
Suffered from bipolar disorder,
Her sister helped with the drug,
Gave an adversary a hug,
Which led to a bond and tie wonder.

A singer whose name’s Carrie Oakey
Was hoarse, sounding terribly croaky
Carrie burst into tears
When folks covered their ears
She’s thankful her gig was just low key

Carrie and her gals, swell, suave and witty,
For Big or Small don’t have any pity.
A perfect mate
Or a hot date?

In honor of Constance La France's Contest: "Haiku me some nature, please"
By Carrie Richards 9/1/11
I was bitten by a gnat
Who didn't ask permission
I caught the little rascal
How dare he bite me?
I put him into a jar.
He made a big commotion.
So I put a stamp on jar.
Sent him to Carrie.
By: Joyce Johnson Came in 2nd
She turns just in time
Eyes flash...pick-up truck explodes
(Ole' Johnny gets his!)
Sue kneels at her cross
(Scarred with that obscene comment)
Look out!! Here she comes!!
***Happy Halloween to "C.R." (My movie-buff-buddy!)
a tranquil meadow
dons a velvet lupine cloak...
bees swarm in dark clouds
vast fields honeycombed
with flora and rabbit holes...
hawks swoop down for prey

In a scene where the character, Carrie,
shoots her hand from a grave, brave Sherry
jumped right out of her seat,
but to friends would repeat:
“that movie was not EVEN scary!”

Cauldron Carrie with her hair of orange and her tale of spit.
She threw chairs and tables on a regular basis; quite a fit.
The rest of us stayed away, we were terrified of this chit.
She was confident and cocky, not remorseful a bit.

Carrie Nation was renown for her scorn
For the havoc caused by john barleycorn
She wielded her axe causing dire consternation
Wrecking bars with what she termed a "hatchitation"

for Joseph May's Pleiades 2 Poetry Contest
I was playing footsie with Carrie
Really I was not in hurry
Carrie lost her temper
Put me on a damper
Guzzled beer smeared my face with curry
Dignity of your years
envelops me tonight,
just as my inner child
circles in the darkness
searching for the sunrise
