Burping Mother
You might know my mom Carla
Or maybe you do not
But I am sure
You haven't heard
That she burps a lot

She's burping when she's happy
And also when she's mad
All through the day
She burps away
And it makes her really sad...

Once lovely full grown woman Carla
Went to a gender barber, she was only 4'4"
She was placed in the kiddy chair
the barber thought she was a boy and cut her hair

The Garden

Carla' S Broken Teeth
Carla, has broken teeth.
So many she couldn't eat.
Cavities, sores on gums,
breath that smells; People would run!
She heard many conversations
about her terrible mouth.
She went to the dentist
to have them remove out.
Now, she slurps Homemade Soup and
Relax in her Chair Of No Doubt....

Forgotten
Around me are whispers in the wind,
Promises for another time and day;
Sunlight slips around my shoulder,
Warmth, feeling its way.

Will I know the time of wind,
Or let it slip right through my hands?
Promises forgotten, misplaced,
Buried beneath the blowing sands.

The Clock of Life
The hands of time,
stand still,
for no one.
Every minute,
that goes,
tick-tock,
is a life
written page.
As we idle,
throughout
the days,
There's no rewind,
nor pause,
For the clock,
of life,
must go forth,
on it's path,
as time,
plays on.

Pier of Eyes
Lights flood the old baywalk
With male eyes, dewed sapphire
Haunting as tender lyre
0n wharf’s café.

The wind fondles a tune
As we dine without shame
To borrow night’s remains
For brief affair.

Though the pier thins its net,
We meet in secrecy
Perhaps it shouldn’t be;
While eyes linger.

The Storm Within
Who is that girl,

in the mirror,

staring back at me?

My mind is like the spider.

My thoughts,

trapped in it’s web.

Words, said in anger,

I don’t really mean.

A heart so sad,

her tears, fall like rain.

As I fight to control,

this storm, from within.

Now it’s plain to see,

the reflection doesn’t lie.

As the face, belongs to me.

Sometimes
Sometimes,
It takes a storm,
And the pouring rain.
Before,
You can see blue sky.
Sometimes,
It takes heartache,
And the pain,
Of a broken heart,
Before you're able,
To find love.
Sometimes,
You'll cry,
A river of tears,
But it will cleanse your soul,
And sometimes,
You'll stumble, and fall,
Before you see,
There is light,
In the end.

As I Sit Here
As I sit here,

on this cold night.

Once again, I find myself

  missing you,

and holding you close

in my heart, Daddy dear.

As I look upon this picture,

I search your tired,

and weathered face.

Counting each line and knowing,

memories of love are stored there.

Each one is like a written page,

that tells the story

of your life.

To Blind To See
Sometimes you wait,
all your life,
for that special someone.
To blind to see,
I loved you unconditionally.
My hearts not a trinket,
for you to collect,
and show.
To blind to see,
what you're doing,
to me.
You'll never change,
with your controlling ways,
I see that now,
As I walk away.
It's sad to say,
you were
to blind to see,
I'll love you,
throughout eternity.

To Shake a Soldiers Hand
If by chance,
someday we meet,
upon a crowded street.
I’d like to
shake the hand,
of the soldier,
who fought the war,
on terror.
I’d like to shake
your hand,
for the bravery,
you’ve shown
time, and time again.
Who throughout
the endless nights,
prayed silently
for home.
With no regard to
their own feelings,
out of love,
they put our Country first,
to protect, and serve,
the land of freedom,
we call home.
