The banks here were overflowing The trees bent down, down like twigs The wind howled, blowing to and fro We didn't know the storm would be so big I'm talking about down in Texas Hurricane Alecia Hurricane Ike And Hurricane Beryl They crashed into the seawall The skies were dark and bleak Storms in Texas are a squall They happen any day of the week
