Surge is for the smaller byways
Twos and threes, a nice good base
Twenty-fours, a French drain, place
Fifty-sevens to dress a road,
Sixty-sevens, for better flow.
Crusher run is best on top
And that is where my knowledge stops…

Chilly hands and feet
Frisky cats playing in the cool air.
Highschool football team in the homecoming parade.

Pickup trucks pulling trailers with four wheelers and 
deer stands, congest the weekend byways.
What's that? Ping-Pow-Bang!! Oh! The rifles!
Look out, destructive pea eaters....

Byways dim, meant for the lonely
While she in her  hazy trance
from whiskey- laced bottle,
sings to flowers hidden far from sight --
Toes dancing beside torches in a distance,
she flew home when death left in a flash
with nothing but her beating heart 
to stray away, lost inside her mind.

strip you with malicious fervour
of all nightly rest endeavours

To keep us on our toes
Eyes to the horizon
How a man's life goes...

the desolate, deserted byways
far beyond any visible horizons,
he entrusted his life force--
Energy that came back to him
as so many drafts and drizzles,
accumulating over the years
as puddles that caught his feet

She cherished him long after nights had crept
Tracing his shape on byways, on footfalls
Like dangle of lint she could not forget;
Breezes waved a quick adieu, winter drawled
Amidst the rancid trees bared, and yet
Her faraway lover tracked her stroll.
