Picture Perfect

FATE DOES NOT FORGET She cherished him long after nights had crept Tracing his shape on byways, on footfalls Like dangle of lint she could not forget; Breezes waved a quick adieu, winter drawled Amidst the rancid trees bared, and yet Her faraway lover tracked her stroll. Entranced, they climbed into each other’s eyes Prompting the moon to act as fate’s ally. Contest: Picture Perfect, Andrea Dietrich

Nette, this is a gorgeous poem. I was not sure about a few of your end rhymes, but for grammar, punctuation, and imagery, you were spot on!! Congrats for your win!

What a dreamy poem nette. I enjoyed this tonight...I was thinking Fate or Faith are both acceptable title. Oh, BTW..I am a Virgo, born in the year of the dragon. I am married to a Scorpion..what do you think? Dragon vs a Scorpion, who is at the losing end? LOL Love, Dalila

I got a great visual of this wonderful write my friend! I imagined these two so very in love under the full moon entranced with each other, just as you have written, I can imagine it! Sorry I haven't been around the past couple of days, my grandmother died on Friday, it is so sad, she had emphysema so bad she just lost her breath and passed away by the struggle to just breath! I really enjoyed reading this awesome poem this evening! What a delightful piece, Great Work!!

Good morning my dear friend Nette! Big hugs! How are you? I hope everything is going well with you and the rest there. I was quite agitated since last night when I heard from my friends that there's a typhoon there. I hope it's not destructive. Stay safe ok? Here in BKK, it's cloudy. About your poem, it's so lovely, sweet & romantic. I love it and embracing it this morning. You write outstanding poems as always! Thank you so much for sharing & everything. Take care! love lots, Leonora
