Bugs Bunny,
A character quite funny.
His catch phrase is "What's up, Doc!"
His antics keep Elmer Fudd in shock.

this rain like nineteen sixties static screen —
snow on black or bugs on white.

Hummingbird feeding
on droopy, purple blossom...
no escape for bugs.

Dreams do come true
If you wish on every fallen star
Once you catch those dreams
Keep them like lightening bugs in a mason jar
group of lily pads floating
small fish are jumping for bugs
murky water clouds your view

lots of bugs inside
downside of summer - zeal to mate
Love has limits - end mates
The fabric has torn
all beds are unmade
The sheets have been soiled,
—the bugs to invade
(Villanova Pennsylvania: June, 2017)

BUGS
In summer, sun-flowers wave,
welcoming buzzing bugs
humming among petals,
around pollen yellow as gold
dappled in puddles of light.

Human, all nature's events, are without mistakes - but for ego.

Burls in trees, bugs among crops, seek balance. Except us humans.
A long hot summer
Filled with mosquitoes and gnats
They are blood suckers
Leaving me with knots and lumps
Looking like I have the mumps
lightning bugs in jar
delightful…shaken up, down
it’s another night
of memories— albums loose
family picnics; stains; death

I do not like how bed bugs prey
They feast upon us night and day
Praise God be kind
Grant peace of mind
And blow those blood-suckers away!
Mosquitoes buzzing
Watering in evening
Waking sleeping bugs
Just learned about syllables in Haiku. Sorry
don't get know better
I love this weather
it kill to the lords will
werm grems
things that hugs bugs
this weather has gold
I LOVE THE COLD
Nasty little bugs I really hate 'em
Did all I could to eliminate 'em
Tried to flush 'em
Tried to crush 'em
I just gave up and finally ate 'em
Bugs bunny shouted, what’s up doc
Then threw his carrot as a rock
He giggles out loud
Even turns and bows
Never knowing his rock had been block
Ole Bugs was a rascally rabbit
a bunny with Fudd foolin' habits
each carrot he stole
and ditched in his hole
caused Elmer to scream Bugs G_d dam it!

Forty Lords a'leaping,
Forty bugs a'creeping
Forty forty year-olds,
With forty sad life tales.
Forty forty forty year-olds,
With their forty ales.
In a bright screened in back porch
No bugs can reach my grape juice
The drink is warm as the room
I take in the wine

Bugs Bunny:
a cartoon character who was more than just funny.
His way of dealing with rivals was shrewd.
Yosemite Sam always came out worse in their feud.
What could be said
of the bugs below?
Can they feel this
weight from above?
Around they clamor
in a life of dirt.
Unaffected by that
heaviness of love.
