Goosey
A gaggle of geese in the Bronx
Were confused by competing honks
With traffic so slow
There's not much on show
'cept gander at the honky tonks...

Misunderstanding
Her accent from Bronx in New York,
This doll said she needed a fork.
The waiter’s reply
Was, “Ma’am, I’ll comply.”
Now she frets, expecting The Stork....

has befriended five Central Park geese
Now home in the Bronx

In Toronto roamed a stray Pekinese
Who learned how to talk from a couple of geese
Now at home in the Bronx
he never barks, just honks
as his owner begs for a little peace

Die Sonne sitzen kalt in den Himmel

Angst
Some girls have no need for a bra
And dread being seen in the raw
But some boys don't care
If bras conceal air
Providing girls don't tell their ma

Not many folk know that the Bronx
Is phonetic spelling of "branks"
It keeps her trap shut
No and if or but
Female voices just become honks...

Premium Member Bronx Cheers
      Bronx cheers, muffled in December
‘The Boys of Summer’ have vanished
gone the way of the playground
            ghosts of warmer climes

Slants of ice fill the empty stands
Cheers – or boos – reserved
             for vagabonds
             for drifting wads of paper

The Bronx Pt.1
Trash strewn all over the street
Graffiti every where
A cop walks the beat
Drug dealer ducks back down the alley
He feels the heat
Congested traffic
Honking horns
Homeless lady looking in the trash for food to eat
No shoes
News paper taped to her feet
Shots pierce the night
Sirens wail
Some bodies loved one lies dead in the street...

Premium Member Be Sincere
Be Sincere Written: by Miracle Man 2-26-2020 Alligator tears are seldom seen as sincere, emotions aren't always as they seem to appear. Sometimes, underlying motives they oft conceal, and what they truly think they refuse to reveal. Not saying and doing always makes them uncouth, they give the Bronx Cheer while disavowing the truth.

Chain
I always thought it was locks and bolts
if you love and freedom if you don't,
but...chain me up
in your love,
in your love.

Now...I want tight bolts and secure locks
keep me safe even in the Bronx
you would...

If there's anywhere for me to run to
I'd wanna be chained up next to you
I would...

Metal links and twist
metal links and twist,
keep me in your grip
keep me in your grip....

History Is Bunk
HISTORY IS BUNK

Columbus discovering America? Yeah, right !
Only after a small army of Vikings from overseas
Traded and raided on the coasts for centuries;
And Brendan had navigated from Ireland  to the Bronx;
Not to mention precolumbian wrecks of Chinese junks
Found in the sandy bottom of San Diego harbor;
And the Mongoloid footsloggers who tiptoed south to Ann Arbor
Across the floes of the Bering Strait ten millennia before....

Premium Member Mickey Mantle and Duke Snider Stand By
Looking down from somewhere up in the sky.
Mickey Mantle and Duke Snider stand by.
Below, Bronx Bombers, all in their pinstripes,
come out swinging their bats, taking their swipes.
Dem Bums have Shohei Ohtani and Betts.
Get ready, this is as good as it gets.
"Play ball", says the ump, to a lightning flash.
Big bats heard o'er the land, a thunder crash.
It starts raining as, out of the park, it flies.
Is it Mantle or Snider who cries?...

Premium Member What Is In a Name
I found a stupendous power source,
When I wrote my name as is, of course.

No shortened forms would do for me!
I didn’t desire to be hip nor a poetry cutie.

Initials simply would not do.
Where was I going in a big hurry~ to the
Bronx Zoo?

‘Twas like a bolt of lighting, when I wrote
with all the letters.
Like magic~ I was given back my wings
and sparkling, poetic feathers!

Premium Member Bronx Cheer
As just about everyone knows,
New York City has five boroughs.
You could be standing in Queens or Manhattan.
Living could also be in Staten Island or Brooklyn.
No other borough has what we have here.
Everybody has heard of the “Bronx Cheer”.
The Bronx is familiar with that infamous sound.
The boys in pinstripes have endured many a round.
Stick your tongue out, put your lips together, and blow.
To voice your disapproval, that is the way to go....

Mysterious Object
Mysterious Object

In the middle of the night
Sleeping in my bed
To see this huge craft in flight
A vision in my head

A huge cigar-shaped object
Moving from east to west
Words cannot describe this subject
I am afraid, this is not a test

From the direction of the Hudson
Or the Jersey shore
This is the second cousin
Of the first in two, I am very sure

Over the Bronx, a hundred feet
A people sleeping late
Have no idea, they are about to meet
A horrible fate
