Misunderstanding

Her accent from Bronx in New York,
This doll said she needed a fork.
The waiter’s reply
Was, “Ma’am, I’ll comply.”
Now she frets, expecting The Stork.

I'd forgotten about this one, and it has new meaning to me because my fresh-from-college daughter moved to NYC three months ago! I hope she keeps her Virginia accent!
