broken promises,

unenchanted.

broken promises, resurfacing as new dreams ~ a new year's nightmare
Monoku 2: New Year
Sponsor: Silent One
17 syllables (5-7-5)
So many things said
Big dreams and promises made
Void of heart, they fade...
Some stay to avoid the shame
Hollow, they carry the blame
Shattered dreams and broken promises
Are all I have to show for my life
What I once perused with great ambition
I now survive by strife.
overthinking of the past
of the mistakes
of the broken promises
i would make
dreadful days, full of pain
full of regrets
drives me insane
Form:
For upon this face, loves tears have walked,
Tears filled with broken promises,
tears filled With lies and betrayal,
dripping into the dark Abyss.
Broken promises
Shattered dreams
Hope gone
Left in reality
No more dreaming for me
Feelings faded
Tears stayed
Trust gone
Dreams left me....
Form:
Clock ticking away
I arrive at the party alone
No call. No answer. No reply
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
~Broken Promises
I
Fear of God was healthy for friends
The relationship was it, not ulterior ends
II
Fear of God is still widely spoken
Love of things, brings Promises broken
night creeps in slowly silently
envelopes me in darkness like a warm blanket
hiding the brutal reality of the day
forgiving its failures
like broken promises scattered on my empty soul
Form:
Darkness falls.
Oppressive dreams become-
Broken promises. Stars seem bright.
If this contains any verbs, adverbs, adjectives please let me know as I am terrible at

Broken promises

Be honest

you said you were gonna take me to the movie's
you said you were gonna take me out for dinner
you said you were gonna take me to the mall
but you broke your word.
Pain
Fear
Love
Another argument
A step closer to losing her
Help
I don't know how
Don't leave me
Broken promises
Broken hearts
Lies
My fault
Lost my love
Lost my girl
Colours of the rainbow
appear on my wall
like dust
so much like the dreams
of yesterday
I feel like I'm seeing nothing new
My ship is coming in
on an a cloud of broken promises
Her words ring untrue
broken promises-
litter, on a trail of tears

Broken Promises are the labour pains
that birth the words “I’m Sorry”.
Good intentions don’t ring the cash register.
Nor do they heal the wounds
that sutures have only temporarily closed.
I saw love
hiding in the walls of hatred;
Faith
behind lost hopes;
Trust
despite broken promises;
and Tears
hidden through your smile;
but still I saw You,
the real YOU
behind those eyes.
I trusted you from the start.
Even when you broke my luck.
You were once my greatest friend.
Yet you betrayed me in the end.
Just know that yes you hurt me,
but I free myself from your broken promises.
I will move on.
Form:
I can unsqueak a squeaky door,
I can make a great meal from scratch,
And not from a can.
And I can replace a broken ceiling fan,
But the one thing I can’t mend,
Are the broken promises I made,
Again, and again and again.
Valentine Shmalentine,
I fell in love and he broke this heart of mine.
Broken promises and sour kisses,
shattered dreams and wishes.
I gave him my all and I got burned,
Thanks anyway Cupid but my lesson has been learned.
A
Teardrop
Liquid Pain
A broken heart
Shattered to pieces
Will bleed tears of sorrow
Dripping pieces of our souls
Memories running down our face
Broken promises have turned to lies
Wiped away with the sleeves of rejection
~The wave breaks
gently, caressing
over and over
it strokes
the rocky shore.
The shore
trembles
wet
ready
but mute.
The storm
glowers
angering the sea:
back-talk
leads to back
hands,
and the shore
maudlin
retreats.~
Broken promises
Dagger through the heart
Silent heaving sobs
Why did it start?
Healing wounds
Comforting words
Relapsing Pain as
Photos return.
Haunting love
Tainting its name
Dagger through the heart
Overwhelming shame.
