1950
a new decade
we had it made
the warring 40's past
at long long last
the sky was bluer
the world was newer
as a lad of 7
life was heaven
it couldn’t last
the 50's passed...

My First True Love
His smile lit up a room.
His eyes bluer than the sky.
His hugs were safe.
I gave it a try,
opened up my heart to him.
He never loved me anyway.
Still I think of him.
I will never forget him....

Try To Dream
Clear blue sky,
bluer than your eyes.
Billowing white,
Perfection you can’t deny.
Peaceful
and free;
Floating slowly
for you to see.
Floating so high
For you
and for me.
Close your eyes now
and try to dream....

To Christine, 1972
Hotpants showing off tanned legs
as long as a June school day

Blonde pigtails framing wide eyes,
bluer than Peruvian opals

Cherry lips freeing sly smiles
that gleamed on those dark nights

Eager heart sharing ill fated love
with this lucky, grateful lover...

Luxury
Doth fancy edges
not only for riches
smooth wealth of finish
leave the rest to timish

tangled mind blemish
thou art has yet to fetch
one most desired edge
leave the rest to dredge

spike with a smooth skewer
and let it be to fewer
taste of mind such viewer
brings the sky yet bluer...

Kill the Seed
Down in the dark
This is where pain grows
To kill the seed
Dive where no one knows

Swim through trenches,
Wet suit will only slow you down
When you've found the seed
Rush back up to the top
Before your lungs explode

Rushing back take note
Water will be bluer,
Sky clearer
Sun Peaking
This is the fresh air you've been seeking...

Relief – A call

Supper has passed – not eaten – because of a call
my Daughter Melanie, made, that would end it all,
all that, the above rhyme, was created on.
It is now over – the pain – she made it, it’s all gone.

A happier man, now am I
I can now see a bluer sky !
Not lost, in a bluer I

Justice
Everything seems more life-sized than normal today,
and the air is perfumed with justice.
Comradery defines America, as tears of relief
roll down our cheeks.
The sky is bluer, the grass is greener and people
are smiling on the streets.
We fought, we journeyed , we won.

Crossed Eyes
Between smiles and laughter,
music and fuss,
their gazes crossed.

And she saw his eyes.
Those eyes bluer than the sky itself.
The ones she dreamed of since I was a child.

He looked at her and smiled...

Both saw the opportunity to live a moment.
For him, more ephemeral than time and for her...
She crossed her fingers......

My Sunday Morning Horn Haiku
My Sunday Morning Horn Haiku

All things regular,
We know for certain and sure,
Will always occur.

What we can endure,
Are things always good and pure;
Sicknesses can cure.

Heaven took a tour;
God was there with much allure;
Sky clear and bluer.

Rumor I must spill;
God in heaven we know will,
Our each need fulfil.

The Red Peril

For every Blue

Even Bluer after 90 minute's

The tortured fan's faces grimace

Children cry on the long road home

This is not the 1st and it won't be our last

But we are born Everton Blue

It's in our D.N.A

Tomorrow is another Day

To face Red Enemy Fire

Thank the Lord for Beer...

Thoughts
Every thought and every dream
came only as it seemed
bluer than the summers sea
but then darker than the summers eve
that you did come to me
and then you had to leave
all the things i should have said came rushing threw my head
and i can only wish now that they could have been said
cuz now all i have is the hard and painful fact that you are now dead...

Nice girl Ottava Rima knew her place but in her very private room did write a limerick which in this special case was bluer than the dark mask of midnight. Could she read it with a pious straight face? She'd have to; Palm Sunday was in plain sight. She went to church and read her naughty verse. The priest died of shock, she laughed til she burst.

Hypertension
The sky looks so much bluer
And the grass a deeper green
the trees are stronger, taller
As I think I’ve ever seen

The sunshine brighter
Clouds are whiter
Every step I take is lighter
All around is suddenly alive in every way

Am I high
About to die
Should I scream, or laugh, or cry

And why does my skin tingle
All my senses now commingle

It must be love....
