The stories

Terrorism and war

Bring attention to

The battleground

Of separation believed..

This simple diagnosis

May seem to suggest

Both a lack of hope

And a solution..but

Both are more stories..

A suggestion of

Peace...?...

Pillar For My Foundation
Sun sets swiftly for lack of fuss
Insidiously dark after dusk
As I retire in a shelled husk
In contemplation of my fate

Lift me up high upon your shoulders
Height that awakens the beholder
My battleground goes soft and molders
I'm reassured it's not too late...

No Heros
Totally helpless
In this war of our minds
An invisible battleground
Covered in blood
Here no one is a hero
There is no victory
Only death
The lovers wise
To their exhausting demise
Yet refuse to drop the swords
That have been stabbing them
For so very long...

Centurion of Stone
Proudly he stands,
the centurion of stone,
alone in his battleground
where winds drape their
coolness against his
sun-baked smile unbreaking
as he defies the forces
opposing his decades of being,
dauntless in his pose,
he holds his thrusting sword
towards a ghostly foe....

Hard Edge
G-ain the hard edge,
I-n the battleground;
N-ever let your vigor fade,
A-llow not your zeal to go down.

D-rive with hard edge,
E-nergy is what you need;
L-et your spirits be high,
A-s you fulfill the righteous deed.

T-he second of October
O-pens the door for knowledge;
R-each your goal with ardor,
R-emain in hard

Words That Kill
We are like two planes bound to collide
tinting the sky with hues of blood-red desire
our embers, a tapestry woven with grace
from threads of doleful devotion

Words that kill,
speak them to me, please,
as we waltz slowly to the rhythm
of our eventual demise

You are the Trojan horse
in this battleground of desire
the ghost within my chest,
clawing through my thorns of internal inhibition...

The Sword of the Lord
The sword of the Lord Almighty
is needed in the battleground;
As your foe has many tactics,
in faith, love and hope, just abound.

Be brave, be strong, and be steadfast,
with the armor of Almighty
Against all the deceitful tricks,
use it to fight the enemy.

Choose the Maker’s shield for defense
by always praying to the Lord;
Obey all of His commandments,
follow His each and every word....

Two
your mind, your battleground
heart racing furiously
beating,
living,
strong.
i know it aches,
i know you struggle to bear the weight,
but darling, keep fighting,
i’m by your side.
hold your head higher,
chest out, shoulders back,
show them what you’re made of;
because you’re diamonds, brilliant and sharp,
you’re fire, warm and protecting.
you’re alive,
and that’s worth it.
you are so so worth it....

Premium Member Brother Against Brother
Brothers until the end
For every reason
Getting together occasion after occasion
The party did not start until they were both there

Civil War separated them
One was for the Confederacy
The other was for the Union
They came across each other on the battleground

Both shooting their guns at others,
Careful to save the one piece of humanity
They had left, praying for the enemy that night
In silence of course....

Premium Member Sweet Agony
A love not lost but never found
 An open secret kept unknown
The peaceful paths of love's battleground
A sweet agony yet to be sown

 She was clearly confused
 At the random order
 of love's sad joy
How it could create and then destroy

Love was a prisoner roaming free
 Altogether separate from reality
But she found out a pretty ugly truth --
  -- "Love don't love nobody"!
                      ---

Once Again
Once again in my place
You’re silent slap across my face
The deafening sound of words unspoken
Used to leave me torn and broken
The scorn sent from your not parted lips
And a soul stripped to shreds and bits
Don’t stop to look around
I have left the battleground
I have no desire to stay and fight
You can stay and think you’re right
My shackles now are broken
From the nightmare I have woken
No tears will seep down my face
As I leave this wretched place...

Little Leo
Little Leo is such a boy
a digger is his favourite toy.

He likes to jump on his trampoline.
To the cat he can be a little mean.

Tractor was one of his first words
even though that sounds absurd.

Always with Nana he will risk it
repeatedly asking for a biscuit.

Papa and he are so close after
Mama and Dada he loves him most.

Bedtime can be a battleground
squirming and squealing he is found.

Thanks to Leo who is far from tame
our lives will never be the same....

Distraught and Lost
My screams are heard in the middle of the battleground—I’m fought
Now I’m in grief and I’m striving to set my mind elsewhere
But I’m frantic and lost—deeply distraught

As I’m shipped away to a far, unknown terrain
I, arduously, breathe in—there’s no one there to unwrap me
On and on, the showering chilliness—never abstains

My life ahead of me foreshadows a future…not so distant
Sending delight to my frenzied soul—there’s some light to share!
I’m found—held as a cherished infant...

Our Playground - Nursery Rhyme
It’s time to play in the ground!

Have fun with merry-go-round.

Proving the mettle, it's a battleground,

Crazy noises clatter and resound.

With bodies sturdy and muscle-bound,

Every child is a prince uncrowned.

Naughty kid gives a harsh pound

Lovely children are spellbound.

Filling hearts with feelings so profound,

It’s time to disperse as the dark spreads around!
