Bandages
Mask life's
Branching wounds...
Roots take hold
Sprouting red/blue
Veins in aloof eyes....

Lucky To Be Alive
Wrapped in bandages, I can hardly see.
But I know there's a world waiting for me.
I'm lucky to be alive; I know that as fact.
But for friends I've searched.
My mind, I've racked.
So I sit above my grave
listen to a dirge
and I wait
for a new life to emerge....

Words Are
Words are
Great treasures
Of infantile starts.

Words are
Hopeful tales
Always being born.

Words are
Harsh slaps
Built on truth.

Words are
Slippery snakes
Destroying much good.

Words are
Simple bandages
For healing souls.

Words are
Gentle kisses
Caressing passing souls....

Our Poor Mother
She sits on prison shelf
legs broken and aching
ears pierced with thorns
eyes full of rolling tears
back bent due to torture
heart eaten raw with chilies
head covered with bandages
body wrapped in dirty rags
her spirit caked into powder
but her will to live is unbeaten
many live in Sub Saharan Africa...

Be Not Proud
The great be not proud
when greatness you enjoy
is of under-hand games
dark hours toll their bells

Wards are ready for custody
syringes and bandages wait
glands shall be dry of tears
none at all will emerge
for your noble chaotic order

That day clouds will riot
to carry you on the journey
across the great destiny seas...

His Words
I feel in love with his words,
Everything he said made sense in that moment of pain,
They gave me comfort,
I could relate to them,
They were bandages to my wounds,
I could finally live without the pain of heartbreak,
I did not fall in love with him,
I feel in love with his words,
Now I know why it didn't work.

Missing Bandages
Why when I bleed
I ran out of bandages?
But I was the one who
bought them in the first place?
Can’t I be allowed to cover up
my own wounds just once?
It’s overflowing now.
They took all the bandages
I’d bought.
I’m left with nothing
but the cut on my toe.

P.S. Don’t share bandages with your family,
Hahaha... stash them in a safe place when needed!...

A Cure is Vengeance
They are telling us we need to be cured.

They are telling us they are trying to keep us comfortable.

By plastering us with sticky bandages as if we are mummies.

They say we are decrepit mummies from a tomb.

And we will fall apart without their help.

They say we are undead and useless.

But a cure is on the way.

A cure is insidious.

A cure is vengeance....

Face To Face With Fear
Face to Face with Fear
The burning of flesh,
The smell of skin,
The fear of scars
from within.

A glance in the mirror,
A look on the face,
A tear from the eye,
when you feel out of place.

The pain and suffering,
one may go thru,
Wakin' up everyday
having people stare at you

Only time will tell
How it will heal
Taking off the bandages
not knowing what it will reveil...

Death In the Doorway
death's stood in the doorway
but i'm no good with words
so my pleas for mercy
come in the form of
fresh bandages on old wounds
and plastering my vices on greeting cards

though the reaper argues
that if there was any value
in a butterfly whose wings
are pinned to a corkboard
or a soul with one foot in the grave
and the other being fed to wolves
he'd carry his mercy in spades...

Whispers of Wind'
Turning tales of an empty road

Glass and mirrors

And

A rose...

Strolling alone I hear the wind

Although
a whisper from within

I can't bear this riddle

So,
I shake inside this puzzle piece dangles

Books and bandages

She was no crook

A bed and a pillowcase

Tattooed and clean

I wear my scars like an index

Would you stay

Or

Just smile..... As, I dream....

Below the Surface
Even in dreams, I wanted to die.
Even in sleep I had managed to rip bandages away
revealing where I had
sliced open my skin,
and where the doctors had attempted to sow it together
to mend the rend.
They were looking in the wrong places
if they were looking for something
broken or torn apart.
These doctors had it all wrong
fixing bodies
did not mean
you fixed what lay
   below the surface....

Finality
Oh death your sting will plea
rejoice cancerous vile flesh.
And scab bandages the angel's plea.
of bliss to rest from arrogant men.

Mode I do abhor the card
casting of my flesh moray.
Lipstick stains and gill vanguard
tears swift by tram alleyway.

My memories the broadsword
thing left to hold me to thane.
Womb called life resale abhorred
permeability train.
Headed in the quest of
finality....

Laughter Heals
Laughter is the best medicine
Although sometimes hard to find
Underneath the pain it will come
Giggles leaping thru the mind
Helping you heal along the way
To be often shared with others
Ever mindful of your stitches
Remember to have a laugh today.

Healing can be a state of mind
Eons of time has proved this so
Although you’re wrapped in bandages
Laughter will help the time to go
Slowly you will be up and around....

Whatever happened to all the white horses
Will we be seeing more that is orange with,
White horses now thin on the ground,
White knights no longer seen in daylight hanging around,
White hats now waiting for cowboys on the rebound.
White cars to scrapyards bound,
White paint seldom free of coffee ground,
White shirts not giving off a loud enough sound,
White sheets as emergency bandages mostly found,
Will orange be good enough for us to regain the middle ground?

Premium Member The Memory of Number Nine
Got my first bike at nine, its color was red,
fell off nine times and bled from my legs,
ma covered my scratches and cuts with nine bandages,
barely nine, I drove my dad's car and crashed,
nine kisses and hugs I gave to beautiful Lucy,
got whipped more than nine times for playing hooky,
nine stitches on my head for jumping a fence,
I had nine glasses of cold milk for breakfast...
nine times I burped and made my classmates laugh!...

Crossing Names
Unrepenting you start
from a sore point
to ask an explanation
from an eclipse of the sun.

unreviving,
a corpse, the moon carries the burden
of light, on its bloodied shoulder
for burial in dew.

Half the century we were
reciting the prayers to open
a blocked artery of a dying god
who would not share our bandages.

The bride steps out
from dark,
unveiled, and undoes the hairs.
There was fire in her eyes
and ice on her lips.

Year My Mind Disappeared 1969
Sticks with poison chopper blades spinning
Descending Dust off to the ground
Yellow smoke alerting grenades launching
Red cross landing AK’s shooting
Bloody men lifted aboard

Bandages dripping with blood
Traps set bouncing Betty ready
C rations ate M-16 awaits
Back to fighting a war
Naked and afraid

When will I wake up from this nightmare

Aches and Pain
My Personal loneliness

To much of my personality to content with
The sum of me splattered across these pages
of life
With all its additions,subtractions,and divisions
Some days I'm laid bare
like an open wound
with ragged edges
from my mind
sifting through mental scars
I thought were healed from some time ago
Going through life constantly
changing the bandages
until this screaming pain
now becomes a dull ache
That I can live with...

Betrayal
I'm not scared anymore,
to show you my scars,
cos they are old now,
and they don't hurt anymore.

take the bandages off,
I'll let you,
I'm not scared anymore,
can't you feel it?
my heart thuds with yours.

It's dark I know
but you can handle the flaws,
can't you hold it?
The hate?

I spoke too soon
you did the very worst
you took a knife
and cut the darkened flesh
and let fresh blood sip.

old scars cut new can hurt.

Love Is
Love is insatiable, it is imperious.
Love is unchangeable, it is poisonous.
Love is beckoning, and it disregards.
Love is questioning, and it mars.
Love is strenuous, it is invaluable.
Love is relentless, it is ever fallible.
Love is deceitful, and it damages.
Love is feasible, and it bandages.
Love is everything, for it is advantage.
Love through anything, for it manages.
Love gets testing, and always imperfect.
Love is contesting, and always worth it....
