once a parrot named kevin
wanted to fly to heaven
so he flew and flew
but when out of view
was forced to land in akron.
Exceeding
speeding
vehicle
in
rushhour—
Now
in
gut
he's
feeling,
aspiring—
Full
roarings,
pumping
of
adrenalin
in
blood—
Perilous

New Year:
Celebration of time’s renewal,
Aspiring
To bring to life, long hibernated
Dreams!

fields of pumpkins wait
wanting to be the chosen one
halloween faces
aspiring artists
delight with ghoulish wonder
candles flickering
Accepting the zeitgeist
Adapting to challenges
Avoiding all dangers
Amusing with the mate
Attending the young ones
Aspiring to fly far…
Ah! What an existence!

Under cloudless sky
echo your dream, pour the wine
incantations to full moon
will be remembered,
as hopeful voice sings high, high
for chants of answered wishes

Oh, you aspiring poet,
never try to reason with your Muse
for
she only listens to the rhythmic beats
of her poetic heart!

Every household aims to live in joy,
aspiring to receive God's grace.
God expects each family
to obey His command
so they will be safe
from all troubles
and hardship
these days
bring.
Furiously the flurries fly. Attached to wall, me on phone.
My Dad makes tracks, and I wonder at the dashing of snow that cools
Mindless chatter. Aspiring flames leap from chimney, as wind moans.
An aspiring actor named Max Finkel
Felt that his star would soon shine and twinkle ~
He just needed one small part
That would provide him a start ~
Played a 'Hobo:' Max tinkled and stinkled
They’re stark naked from their heads to their toes
Our aspiring emperors wear no clothes
Why can’t we see that
They look like two rats
Perhaps we’re too busy holding our nose
Pride shining uniquely,
In our eyes.
Rocking the nation with education. We’re
Aspiring to be the best
Teachers help us achieve each and
Every goal. Yes we’re
Strong and brave and bold.

Deanna beautiful as the morning sun
Eager to get the job done
All blessings are in her path ,
Nothing can stop her, she will never be last
Needless to say these are her words
Aspiring, and beautiful haven’t you heard?

Tribute by Curtis Moorman - 15 November 2019
The memory of the
poor, struggling, inspiring, but now dead poet,
made eternal muse, by, and for, the
poor, struggling, aspiring, but living poet:
an existential measure of
blood, sweat, and tears, of
mind, body, and soul.
Angels fly
Upon the magnanimous winds
Singing peace & happy ends;
Inspiring all placid sleeps & even makes Hope joyously weep.
Demons lie
Upon the obsequious night
Screaming agony & evil delight;
Aspiring for ethereal deeps & even makes Fear mortally weak.
He went on the rap sheet as Shakespeare, Will
And in mitigation he simply said, ‘Nil.’
Male escorts earned plenty
He’d charge half of twenty
They nicknamed him ‘Ten Dollar Bill.’

[Hey, it’s a Limerick… please excuse any geographical inaccuracies]
Arnold, an arrogant associate assistant at American Airlines at Altoona Airport, and Allen, an aspiring actuarial apprentice acquiesced after an aggressive, although adult altercation at Arby's, Arnold's altruistic argument asserting alliteration as alternative art appropriate.
he's a treadmill
living palindromic days
real time
which doesn't help
neither does his lawyer
but victimaholic attitudes
those aches and pains
in dust filled boxes
aspiring to move away
unfortunately for him
his shadow
and his tambourine
are just where
he likes them
Eggs of Blue, spring is upon us Turdidae
Of that first clutch, how many will you lay?
Aspiring from your chest a Phoenixes display
Odds are twenty-four months before they decay
But those who survive that first fateful years foray
For five or six years their spring songs will play
GRAPH LINE
below the graph line
once again
how did it start
where does it end
zig-zagging
off the chart
numbers
twitch then dart
tearing me apart
high then low
off the chart
aspiring to
that flat line
just one more
final
time
