As this COVID-19 pandemic rages all around us, how encouraged I am when poets, like Gershon and others, use their gift of poetry to build up one another.
Alternative facts make sense to Luella
Embellishing and alternating truth is her forte’
Her career of choice was readily determined
Politics jumped to the forefront
It might possibly be her only choice
White House Press secretary
or Ambassador to a foreign country?
That is what she is pondering now.
Tampered photo,
Tampered life,
Born elite,
Married Strife.
Never one mans wife.
Wed to the nation,
System creation.
Freedom lost.
Chosen, at what cost?
Wishful eloper,

Now troubled with the queen of late
Then ambassador, Now advisor to the king
Bitter laughter from the advisor chamber
How should the advisor know what to do
Doing, never a strong suit of hers
Understanding, though, the key to advice

‘Making love to the sky you’re an Eagle.’
I wrote that, it seems like so long ago;
At the time there was still significance
in the majesty of this predator;
Two such piercing eyes and wings so regal
paint an image that we forever know;
A display of so much perseverance
they’re the U.S freedom ambassador;
Just like American independence
this bird of prey is a force of nature.
In the present moment,
my body can't be at home.
But home is where the heart is,
my heart is there, when I roam.
Currently on an important mission,
to make right, from what is wrong.
An ambassador of America, I become,
encouraging a country, to be strong.
Underneath there truly lies,
a hard sacrifice in what I do.
In my very being, I remind myself,
people deserve freedom like I do.

A secular person who stood against the elite and ended slavery
A Prolific President and brand ambassador of bravery
One Man Army and Alpha Bravo Charlie
An example of honesty for dishonest democrats and those who lie
We don't give and we don't serve
Hell deserves us and hell is what we deserve.
Are you the hero
of a recurring dream
Or the victim
of a life undone
Are you the ambassador
for all you esteem
Or a fugitive
—a soul on the run
Are you a real friend
beyond trial and strife
Whose allegiance
now stalwart defends
Are you the true master
of all your desires
Or the ghost
—of what sleep can’t befriend
