The alarm clock isn’t going off;
it’s dead there on the stoop.
I fear the feral cats
were in the chicken coop.
cool sheets slip over our suits
warm embrace, slippery lips
dreamy eyes open and close
— alarm clock sounds off

Outside my window, hark! a tweet
Alarm clock opens, a whirring twitter
These words' meanings, we depleted
Their message, away we frittered
Donald Trump's alarm clock went dead
So Ivanka woke him instead
He sighed, "I don't tell lies!
I was resting my eyes
When I tripped and fell on this bed!"

Death
is eternity's alarm clock, set to awake the soul
from her temporal lethargic sleep of earthly life

A alarm clock cannot defend itself
from a hand that will not stop
until it kills the alarm, then
sliently sneaks into the middle
and turns you off
Form:
Love is like an alarm clock
Just when you think all is set
she cheats and then wants to buzz
Off goes the first ring
For John Freemans competition Love or Humhour
A singular failure is the alarm
When used to late morning sleepers disarm
For as soon as it rings
They turn off the damn thing
And don't wake up 'til work's done on the farm
As the morning choruses' alarm clock I tick the box
for waking up this Spring glory at four of the clock by
loudly laughing while reading comic glory 'Catch - 22'
Just a dream life is,
Death’s alarm clock, us awakes
Eternity dawns!

* A good friend departed so I came back to honor
his memory!
At four o'clock,
Your world wakes:
My dainty array
Of a rainbow vale.
With fascination,
Every four o'clock I
Watch your opening eyes
Obey - without a fight -
The alarm clock in your mind.
steady awakening
tapping on the alarm clock
ever getting up
procrastination
yeah steady getting up, up
ever getting up

My alarm went off in the middle of the night
I set it for 8:00 what an annoying device
A penalty should be enforced
Perhaps an action in the courts
Preventing it from reoccurring, that would be nice
The alarm clock rings and I wake to the sound of music.
The temperature is four below.
I look outside only to see
The ground covered in thick white snow.
And so another day begins like any other day.
It's only Tuesday.
Some people
like chocolate
like wine
like spring sale
like tivoli
like confetti
and then other people
like bedbugs
like hiccup
like the song on your mind
like an alarm clock
and the warm red shawls
in winter time
Form:
To sit beside her and talk
Even holding hands as we walk
Sharing seasonal kisses
Are my dreams and my wishes
Beep beep! damn the darned alarm clock

Whoop with delight as all the time is yours
Enjoy life to the full
Eat out - you don’t have to cook
Keep up with friends and have a natter
Explore new places
Need time to totally chill
Dread the alarm clock going and the working week is back
rural alarm clock
better hen-pecked than hand-picked...
fresh eggs on demand

When you hear that alarm clock ring,
be prepared to get up and swing.
If not, you could be in bed all day.
The morning will quickly pass away.
At work, the boss can get annoyed.
Get up and out before you're unemployed.
Inspired by another member's poem.
colors exploded into my room
dazzling and sparkling
bringing me joy and delight
waking up the alarm clock who screamed
I laughed at this
Loving the truth
Enjoying the best wake up call of my life
the alarm clock stuck out her tongue
no sense of humor
The mother-in-law woke me with her dry cough.
The electric alarm clock is registering 6am;
two hours since the baby’s last feed—
the one she came to help me with.
I crawl out of my warm bed to put the kettle on
and select the chipped coffee mug for her.
Beddy bye beddy bye
cuddled up in here I lie
Tickity tickity tock-tock
goes the alarm clock
With a blanky on my tummy
I feel kinda' woozy
Dingy dingy dong-dong,
anka wanka I am cozy
Beddy bye beddy bye
think I'll sleep til' noonzy!
My alarm clock
was out of
order.
I went to
market
and bought a
cock
to help me
wake up
sharp at dawn
my cock crows:
Hurry up
please its time
Hurry up
please its time
my cock crows:
Early to bed
and early to
rise
makes man
healthy
wealthy and
wise!
Little fingers ,little toes, big brown eyes that glow.
Little giggles and little wiggles.
My little guy that grows.
Little steps to start to make a mess.
My little man I love no less.
Your my little alarm clock at night and my little bright eye at light.
Your mommy's little browned eyed
Guy.
