My eyes alite upon a song
The birds had done it long,

Blessings
It rained this morning until this moment,
now the birds are singing.
A blessing!

Bird song is not much of a tune, kind of repetitive
and it could use a base accompaniment.
In fact to be honest, the birds
are kind of annoying.

Wait, it’s raining again - sweet silence
Another blessing!...

Taps
Two to start
hidden getaway planned
hooded by woods
secretly intimate
a silent motor
black search began
waiting with accompaniment
tap - tap - tap
drowsy state triumphs
a starred awakening
sirens blaring, lights flashing
escorted and directed away
quick glance back
one hanging above...

A mercury-free tin of tuna fish
bolted down, gagging all the way
To the accompaniment of gossipy lips
a revolting noon hour this hot day

A walk inside COVID's masked prison
did not appeal to me either
Tossed the tin in the can with a certain elan
Farewell, tuna fish; unleashed, my inner Tarzan...

When Poetry Threatens
There is a greasy odor in the air

At the window
across the room

the diaphanous wings of a fly

peal off accompaniment,
--a staccato--contradictory notes

to the stretched rays of a dying afternoon sun

falling on the face of my otherwise muse

And in her countenance
all I can see
is the potential of a growling dog .......

Dreaming In Wrenna
still the season in
texas where drifting in the
hammock leads you to

a different kind of
heat where hazy lazy things
are hard to define

dreaming in Wrenna
of strawberries big as cars
where you can go in

side eat your way out,
of slides that wind and curve for
days, of bluebirds and

their lovely vocal
accompaniment of the
whole beautiful scene...

Valentine
Value comfort and consort on named holiday

Attend to needs and wishes of prized partisan

Love the small moments and the grand gestures

Eat delicate foods in pleasured accompaniment

Nourish emotions and flames of passion

Take joy in every touch and caress

Initiate contact and dazzle senses

Never ignore an opportunity to spoil

Enjoy every minute...

5th September
It has been raining
All the day.
But now silence.
Stillness
Where just before
The drops a rhythmic downwards breeze
Poured,
And gave us quiet melody to our thoughts,
Are suddenly no more.

The trees, stilted now,
Waving hesitant.
This new, patternless breeze
And our lives are a little more boring
As the clouds sweep past
And leave us alone.

No accompaniment seems to last....

Kissed the Rain
I cherish every raindrops which dance upon my face
Occasional piano accompaniment drift along my pace
On the trails which tickles my fifth sense of taste
Millions molecular beam saved every curt memo as a lace
Which knitted through every single wink of my grace
Again, I cherish every raindrops which dance upon my face

Love the moment, love the drizzle
Love the ambiance which showered in a dazzle...

Lonely Streets
These streets I can feel beneath my feet.
I listen intently to feel their beat.
I'm walking to the rhythm of blacktop drums.
Subconsciously I'm in sync and my mind hums.
The tempo seems to mimic how I feel.
Imagined possibly, but for me it's real.
I now feel that someone walks with me.
I converse with those I cannot identify.
For some it's a reason to be locked away.
For me it's accompaniment to stay.

The Pianist
They were invincible
whenever they’re onstage:
piano on the lead
with violin
as his accompaniment.

They toured the cities,
the parks as well;
soft harmonies they played
that all, including men
went envying them—

violin had felt betrayal
from her own bow.
It snapped her strings;
made it sever—
leaving piano out of tune.

Despite his downfall,
piano persisted performing
on stage, but alone—
playing his wife’s
funeral song....

Mixed Senses-Evening
In the purple smoky collaged sky

The birds swam home

on flaky water colours,

carrying his rainy perfume.

I prayed for this one night

He would evenly spray my garden,

Without the rumbling accompaniment

Of his hurly burly friend flashing

nightmarish psychedelic lights, but let

Little Sue dream with her angels in peace.

Creaks In the Stairs
Theres a child
That answers the question with a thousand wishes
Witch, from his tongue, he couldn't hold in even for amusement
Because they, like a first impression,
Need the humble accompaniment of a friend
And so,
Instead of asking for 3 wishes,
It's the 4th till the end

It's when She asks at all!
"Why should it matter to them?"

"After all, I am but a friend of a friend of a friend
who knows...
just when
to stare
and when to listen"

Kiss Her!!...

It rained this morning until this moment,
now the birds are singing! A blessing.

It’s not much of a tune, kind of repetitive
and it could use a base accompaniment.
In fact, to be honest, the birds
are kind of annoying.
Once they get going all together, it’s like
a Wagner opera – never ending.

Wait, it’s raining again. Sweet pitter-patter
What a blessing.

Its stopped raining.
the birds are back and louder than ever.

Too many darn blessings this morning....

The Seconds grew impatient
   As Anticipation aimed its dart
Hope sat erect at the table
   Compliments practiced their parts

Breaths were held as the Chef pirouetted
The Piece de resistance proudly poised
Triumph on a smooth, sleek glass surface
To the accompaniment of Merriment's noise

Paradise was but a dimly lit candle
Beside the Pheasant's brilliant blue flame
Exclamations burst forth midst salivation
The Proud Bird had earned Highbrow acclaim...
