If you could see how other people see you now
Open your heart and soul you know what to do
Look to the sky, grab some rays from the sun
Use that newfound energy to have some fun
Your smile radiates in a powerful way
You think you are not worthy of love every day
The true you is trapped deep inside
Take a chance and come out for a ride
Your dreams are a real reflection of you
Listen to them, they will show you what to do
Toss aside the torments of the past
Capture the new you and make it last
I can feel the burning passion in your voice
Let it out to be shared you have a choice
I need your body close to mine
Baby, you send shivers down my spine

Premium MemberFebruary Shivers

Billows of a winter snow blowing through my curtain window
all I sweet remember is the way the willow tree smelled
that creamy, sugary, wintergreen scent of its lovely mellow
and the way the sun tilted each time you looked at me...
Snowflakes falling from a heavy laden sky of marble
and though my heart is longing, it is full of your song
that slow jazz music made us drunk as we danced
beneath the sultry moon, like a a fork and spoon
February shivers, my how the winter defuses
all that is left is the scent of a warmth remembered
healing hands, *** secret pillow talks
You grew old I grew old, then we both stopped living
My how I recall those winter snaps,
two young lovers lost in the silk of life's entwine
I remember when our love was fresh and new
like the weeping willow, dressed to the nines
Ah ! But those were different times and now is now,
I am presently lost, ... in this winter pow.

Twilight

Let the day always fade says Jacob as he watches the moonrise. The nightsky twinkling, simple yet astonishing. He looks at the moon, tensed, not knowing what to say. He looks

A tiny shiver of what might come next. As the words disappear, it intensifies. He screams and cries, to the moon

But little does he know, the moon belongs to the night.

For he, under the vast violet sky, is but a wolf.

This Is a Poem About the Shivers

Real fear
as it crawls
from the nape of your neck
icicly popping skin
along arm
hairs raised in surrender
unable to stop what will become
I never look at shadows anymore
incase there is a face their theyr'e
that sea me-i love using the wrong swords
see you
just open your phone
Who is that in the background
feel my oil slick tendrils
kiss your shoulder
talon crawl across your ripping flesh
when stomach and arsehole
are closer than before
Brian turns ewe to your brain
that tightly held breath
heart above sound
feet rooted in molten stair
see my face
as the darkness turns away
afraid to look again
if mirrors reflect light
why can you see your shadow in a mirror
and will you dare to look
sitting in my favourite
seat the spittles of rainbow
spewing from the box of idiots
dance accross my wall
macabre marionettes forbid into cryptic cryptids
and the end of the scream
is unheard

Summer on I-10

old van,

no air conditioning

furnace oven days

long hot tiring

pushing on

dark night

stop for directions

abandoned buildings

streetlamp

roadmap

landscape moving

like waves on the ocean

What the hell

Open door look at ground

no ground

only endless carpet

of locusts

far as the eye can see

moving rolling

chilling

slam door take off

I remember

crunching sound under tires

for miles

I shiver

october hurls its winds
in cold unnatural
spooky ways
its clouds screeching
sounding scary silences
midst an eerie
twisted all too déja vu
twilight zone

Premium MemberBeautiful Shivers

I was sitting in a church filled with light and beauty
listening to an organist as he gently fused my soul
Even the flowers on the alter seemed to be entranced
in this ethereal place where hardened hearts erase ;
And as I offered prayers to the Savior Lord of hosts
I was saturated with karma and unnamable mystique
Faith became a foundling, much braver then my fears
as I touched His loneliness, everything disappeared
Pondering on the crucifix another door was opened
and it was the HOLY SPIRIT who finally dried my eyes
Soon the only thing I saw was a broken Jesus friend .
as I sat on a wooden pew the organist just played
until the sun fell and the stained glass turned to jade .

Premium MemberGoosebumps, Chills, and Shivers

Some stories give me goosebumps. They are found
in books and films that tell of wicked clowns
or evil children whose cold, empty eyes
cast spells on hapless people all around.

To chase that eerie feeling from my mind,
I spend an hour watching Looney Tunes!

True stories really chill me to the bone.
They tell of senseless murders, pedophiles,
kidnappings, suicides, and child abuse.
There’s no end to the evil in this world.

Fun tv shows can never banish chills
induced by rampant horrors near and far.

Fleeting Shivers

It’s too
				            cold outside.
				        The blustery wind
				    snapped my arm in two.
			            My orange nose wiggled
			                almost escaping me.
				          The snowflakes
				             are starting
				      to fall again, making
me a thicker jacket to wear.
proud The beautiful crystals glistened realized
and Under the December sun. I stood soon
tall to receive the showers of mother nature but I
Days and months flashed past. My smile
soon faded from my wet face, dripping beads
of sweat. I could no longer stand tall but instead
I slouched with my shrivelling back, melting
and melting. I saw my reflections in the
puddle beneath me: my wilting figure.
How I longed to feel the bright,
			           and warm sunshine of June
				        I couldn’t be like
				          everyone else.
					      I…

Premium MemberSunrise Shivers

Sunrise shivers
slowly streaking
frozen fields
grasses huddled
against icy winds.

Silent sparrows
hunker down
awaiting the angst
of an unfocused
feeble warmth.

A cat scratches
timidly
at the door
pawing
a cold draft.

Somewhere
that pesky grey squirrel
slumbers
cradled
in its fluffy tail.

Softly
a reluctant sun
tints
hoar frost hard edges
with golden
promise.

Autumn morns
Each aspen
Shivers cold

And awakes
Dripping old
Golden sun

To cushion
The Winter’s

SHIVERS UP THE BACK

Taking a dive at an amusement park,
He was taught to notice the arc of sharks.

          Stay out of their way,
          And don’t try to play.

For a shark’s misdirection’s their earmark.

Shivers

The wind blows colder
since you've gone,
The changing colors
faded, forlorn.

Winter's bite
whispers in air,
fills the void
that you left there.

The sun sets far
beyond the horizon,
it's fleeting warmth
lost in twilit erosion.

Glitters in the dark,
the clouds are tossed
and stars obscured,
by wind-blown frost.

Your memory alone
chases the chill
from within my bones,
knowing I will

See you again
when my time comes,
and two spirits divided,
rejoin as one.
