Sunrise Shivers

Sunrise shivers slowly streaking frozen fields grasses huddled against icy winds. Silent sparrows hunker down awaiting the angst of an unfocused feeble warmth. A cat scratches timidly at the door pawing a cold draft. Somewhere that pesky grey squirrel slumbers cradled in its fluffy tail. Softly a reluctant sun tints hoar frost hard edges with golden promise. John G. Lawless ©12/8/2018
