The Stubborn Heart”

Stubborn as stone, he stands his ground,
Words like rivers, he won't let them drown.
Eyes set firm, with fire and pride,
Even truth must wait till he's tried.

He sees threats wherever he may go,
Every word—a weapon poised to throw.
Sharp as knives, his cold replies,
Send chills down spines and truth to lies.

I am a self made machine,
Told I couldn’t fail,
Yet told to have fun,
Told to be young,
But there’s work to be done,
When there's work to be done,
Do it in order,

He often thought to himself
that he has been too quickly assembled
that he should have taken more time
for the busy hands of his constructing mind
to fill-in the flaws, smooth-out the cracks,
