It was always you
For love sings thy name
The cool wisp of blushing lips
The chorus of springtime's first kiss
Which my heart still proudly bares
Without refrain
I can still feel your smile
A warmth that spurns
Winter's deepest dire
Shivering fears erased
Imperfections embraced
By the fingertips of faith's fire
It was always you
Who stayed trembling skies
Summer tears lead astray
As jagged nights bled day
The hand of autumn assuaged
For you always held mine
Without refrain
You are the rock
That shields my soul
The mirror time cannot break
Nor I could ever mistake
For being alone
It was always you
Born like Autumn trees
yet unable to bear fruit,
his time will soon come
like leaves falling on the ground
his fertile seed now planted
The sunny days that warm the Earth
inspiring nature’s glow
with salad days and joyful mirth
and love begins to grow.
The humming of the honey bees
echoes the fruity wine
of jasmine scent upon the breeze
as you said you are mine,
But however the summer ends
the memories remain
as lovers part as closest friends
and autumn falls again.
Der Wind aus Osten
Treibt schon Schnee über das Land
Am späten Herbsttag
The wind from the east
Drifts already snow across the land
At late autumn day
El viento del este
Ya flota nieve a través de la tierra
En un día de otoño
Gold leaves flutter on autumn eddies - soil accepts grateful of nourishment

The beautiful sunshine of the day
Turns to a frosty November night.
Afternoon's warmth from the sun's bright ray
Disappears with the fading light.
Winter is now arriving as autumn takes flight.
Forest alive now
Autumn colors brilliant glow
Poplar_ Maple grow
Colors seen_red, yellow, rust
Auroras of autumn flow
Elegantly dressed
For the last ball before snow
She smiles at artist
As he gathers paints blends shades
Painting her colorful gown
As sunlight dances
Against gown that glows with dew
Gracefully she bows
As bare limbs begin to show
Last of grace before first snow
The Autumn shades now distant
Skeletal frames silhouette the skies
The last colours of this seasonal carpet
Decaying in drifted lie
As I walk through this land of nature
Amongst ferns, spruce and firs
Sometimes it makes me wonder
Do the remaining mournfully confer
Is it whispers I hear on the breeze
Or the life all around me in appear
For in this broken canopy I feel raindrops
Or are they, evergreens tears

Crisp, fresh, autumn air
Fireplace smoke aroma
Sun sets sooner now
Birds, above flying due south
Footsteps crunching on dried leaves
Breath seen in the air
Sweaters worn everywhere
Frost on morning grass
Apple cider heated up
Pumpkins, now jack-o-lanterns
School buses running
Football games on Friday nights
Thanksgiving dinner
Starting up the Christmas list
The Fall season is the best
Cool air and fading sunshine,
hard cracked ground and
brown grass wilting,
warm colors spreading
through the trees like wildfires,
painting leaves golden hues
of red and orange.
The air is crisp and calm,
absorbing the scents and sounds
of a quieter season,
as birds slowly stop singing
and the summer cicadas' penetrating,
rhythmic mating calls fade...
Nothing beats coming back
to the home of my childhood
and feeling autumn the same way
I did as a little girl.
God's colour palette
Splashes the autumn landscape
With it's vivid hues
Creating a tapestry.
Autumn's artistry displayed.
Bright fields of pumpkins
Herald the coming season.
Fall at it's finest.
The most colourful season
That is bestowed upon us.
The painter's palette
Which now lies beneath the trees,
Falls finest colours
Form a mural at our feet,
For us to walk in splendor.

summer

soon autumn leaves
change colour vividly
then fall
