As Autumn Takes Flight

The beautiful sunshine of the day

Turns to a frosty November night.

Afternoon's warmth from the sun's bright ray

Disappears with the fading light.

Winter is now arriving as autumn takes flight.

Hi Francine. Winter is long. Summer is lovely. Spring is a rebirth, but Autumn, is my favourite. Beautiful piece laden with the feel of the season. PS. Thanks for your kind comment on the contest. Eamon
