Getting to the edge
untimely bring no victory.
But!
In the end,
the edge is where one want to be.
Not to go over,
just close enough,
to peek and see.
One’s next keys to their destiny,
into new seasons of mystery,
at a pace never fast nor slow.
Just align with nature majestic flow.
Do not want to be late or too soon.
It does not matter when reached,
midnight, morning, or noon.
Those all worthy will not descend.
Will cross over on a walking ledge.
onto where a new birth begins
in a dimension savory from sin
welcoming to all those,
whom reached the edge!

"I'm a sucker for fries. It's definitely one of my biggest vices. My biggest savory vice for sure." - Shenae Grimes
So many tasty foods there are with salty or spicy flavor.
A cheeseburger or pizza are what Americans mostly savor.
Various ways with potatoes – stuffed, mashed, or fried up greasy!
Oh, and those comfort carbs. Make those pastas saucy and/or cheesy.
Really creamy soups, egg rolls, tacos and burritos I love too.
Yes, sweets are great, but popcorn tops MY list. How about you?

But Such Is The Savory Flavor Of Mortal Flesh And Pride.
Gray shadows blending into a much darker ominous mist
And with that omen, another bullet added to the list
O'but did not the careless days of an adventurous youth
Lay in memory recalled by this and praying old man!
Hold now, did not courageous heroes of the past inspire
By waging battle with sword and shield even in muck and mire
And dawn each new day not inspire a Herculean effort
O' what hours of vain glory now just as a defeated fort!
Why sure some few were just grand and even a true hero's foray
I watch now as gray seems to conquer All and I bow to pray
Vanity is in deep in the harvest of one's youthful dreams!
But such is the savory flavor of mortal flesh and pride.
Dare I not, waken more of the old jealous gods and not hide!
Robert J. Lindley, sonnet--
""truth in telling, bitter dregs of fleeing dreams""

rub my butt with spices
baste my breasts with olive oil
slather my wings and things with sauce
butter my thighs, slow broil
ah, the savory delights of a summer BBQ!

Slap Ya Mamma all over
And soak 'em in beer
Next morning smell the mesquite
Sizzle-juce and fat
Impregnate the air
Love smok'n
Mmmmmmmm!

If pulpy green words
had red meat nutritional value,
As feelings have openly positive
and closed negative
nurturing peace normals
and turmoil boiling abdominal
abominable abnormals,
robust health feeding
and sick bad watering,
What would you choose
to feed your co-passion learning kids,
your cornucopia complex spouse,
your significantly nonOthered
this ego-cooking day?
If fertilizing actions
were rooted in compassion
as light
fades into night
Dreams for healing yourself,
for saving this EarthTribe
self-cognized
humbled
for Whole Earth empowering
enlightened
dawning peaceful governance,
Who
and what
and when
and where
and why
would you co-passion with,
co-invest with,
co-operate with feeding bright?
This PeacEarth crunchy day
and Justice restoring
spring flowing
heart glowing
starlight witnessed
night.

As
Autumn
approaches,
patchwork palettes,
sweet sienna sap, and savory seeds
augment this flavorful fragrant season,
softly cooing
to the winds
“It’s time,
come”

Heart weds mind when writing
Minichu, a wondrous form of poetic piece.
Ah, biting
Lips, stroking brow,
I nibble this savory cheese,
And Wow!
I chime,
And, mind at ease,
Rhyme.
Heart weds mind when writing;
I nibble this savory cheese —
Rhyme.

The soul is searching for ;
Searching for God so that it may lodge;
And within His caring arms;
That carry on the sweet, sweet Savior;
Who shall praise and worship Him forever and ever;

Chopped celery carrots and
Peas; corn, green beans, too,
Add garlic and herbs, spinach
So nice; salt and some
Pepper, veggie stock
Some rice, cook
Wow!

Because I want the crust to gently flake,
I cut in frozen butter to make crumbs.
I'll wash the shell with egg before I bake;
you'll note how delicate the crust becomes.
I fill the egg-washed shell with chunks of meat,
potatoes, carrots, onions and some peas.
Of course no proper sav'ry pie's complete
without some Worcestershire and grated cheese.
I add those to a gravy for the sauce.
then pour it gently so as not to spill.
Next, cover it with pastry strips, criss-cross--
a lattice showing off my baking skill.
And, finally, some foil wrapping 'round
so that the edges won't become too browned.
