Premium MemberA honey baked life

Promised a honey baked life by Uncle Sam,
a V.A. loan, and a mini-van.
Three kids and a fenced yard.
It should be attainable to those who
worked so hard.
They served, they sacrificed as mother's wept,
came home to be forgotten to a government
that's inept..
Our unsung hero's who fought gallantly, are
supposed to be our nations first priority..

The Tale of Me and Her

A princess came to my door in a dirty robe.
Her eyes made me fall in love with her, like a deep sea with different fantasies.

I choose her to be my sword holder cause my parents kept me under the rule.
A moment came when I fall harder when she sacrificed herself for me in front of the dragon who was going to kill me.
then I realized the power of love and death.

I continued my life holding the memories of her and mine in the little hut with a huge garden the same as she wished when she was there with me.
I want you to know darling that I will love you in every colorful note of my life.

Sacrificed

Mother,
where are you?
You left me at the gate.
You told me I was
there to find
my own way...
alone.

How will that help,
the feeling of loss
I have inside?
How will that set straight
all the evil that has passed,
between us and among us.

The stepfather...
he "was" evil.
He made living miserable,
and hard.
He made me want to die.
But, you loved him,
so I tried...
and failed.

He used me.
You knew.
You let him.

Mother, are you, my mother, at all,
or are you a darker monster,
then the one you married,
that lives in the house
I once called home,
long ago.

Premium MemberSacrificed For Political Sake

Nobody will ever know the real person that you were
That glint of magic in your eyes, your giggle that warmed your families hearts.

You chose to care for others. You chose to put people first. You stood in front of a virus for which you were ill prepared.

Your government scoffed and scorned on the words your profession had to say. They chose to clap for you and your colleagues dying every day.

You had so much to give. You cared for everyone. No matter what language they spoke no matter what colour their skin.

Your government expected more and used your caring nature to plan their blame. They expected you to act like soldiers and give your lives fighting this thing.

We will remember the sacrifice you were made to make. We will remember you, your profession and you people sacrificed for political sake.

I Once Sacrificed My Life

I once sacrificed my life
Not knowing I was giving up all that is mine
Hoping in the way I'd be fine
But as for today there's no one to hear my cry

Time passed my heart was broken
I did not know how to be open
I tried my best but before I knew it I had fallen
What hit me I know not, what's left is unspoken

Finally I found peace
Even though I wasn't really at ease
Although I was fit
The only option left for me was to leave

The Resurrection of the Sacrificed Lamb

Easter has a deeper significance:
it's the resurrection of the sacrificed Lamb,
after Lent, there's no penance;
Christ is that lamb taking sins away,
all we have to do to be forgiven is to pray!
Be that soldier of faith with shield and sword:
he fights for Christ and he proclaims Him Lord!

Easter began at sunrise,
the tombstone rolled away,
Mary Magdalene was taken by surprise
and spoke with Him before going away!
Jesus the Savior was resurrected
from the dead as Lazarus did,
he started to walk among the living,
how stupefied was the crowd watching!

Easter has a deeper significance...
shadows never conquered light,
they vanished at the sight of Christ:
the Redeemer of the Human Race!

Premium MemberSacrificed

Brushed cheeks blushing
from the red of many suns
released to plucking fingers
from the garden
of sustaining gifts:
tomatoes: green, gold, or red.
Saved beyond the reach of frost,
tenderly fed and tended
by the sun of summers’ passing.

a shared flesh, rejoicing
in the bearing of life
both given and received.
whose only purpose
is a gift.
we give ourselves
found in
the many definitions
of our love.

SACRIFICED

Gave my heart
But not for a token,
Gave my life,
But not to broken,
More than a mom, was one with two meanings,
Would do it all again, for the necessary redeeming.
Sacrificed

Gave my all,
But not for the taking,
Gave my best,
But not for the breaking,
It wasn’t a competition for a place in hearts to be won,
How I cried for the betrayal, was the innocent one.
Hoped my children now gone, would remember their way home,
Sacrificed

Now I ask
Just let me go,
The mom that I am,
I know that you know,
You got what you you wanted, but can’t have it both ways,
Changed my long waited nights, into your wonderland days,
The world you created, excluding me, is the world I’m not in, so just let me be.
I’ve never changed, i am love all the same, just...

Premium MemberFor Those Who Also Sacrificed

FOR THOSE WHO ALSO SACRIFICED…
   (APROPOS SHEROES AND HEROES UNKNOWN)

Theirs too, was a journey of blood, flowing
From shores of seas to beds of rivers:
Filling pitchers of freedom overflowing
With captured liberties and unshackled free spirits
Rising above the river banks of the deltas’ terrors

Yet the remains are merely dry bones
Of unsung heroes
Resting here in scripture based echoes:

     From dust thou cometh,
     To dust thou returneth

For them, there are no eloquent epitaphs;
No stone monuments to greet the seasons:
Only praises of the wounded hearts of heirs.

In these times, only chosen popular ones,
Are given the stone monuments with
Curious cold chiseled epitaphs.

The sacrificed lives of the unknown poor,
Remain simple reflections of churchyard graves.

Painful, sad but tender warm
The sacrificed blood.

I Sacrificed the Love That I Never Had

A long and cold day for me it was
A decision I had to make
It was getting hard for me to bear
It’s always hard living up on tear.

Sooner or later
The shell was about to crack
There was no reason to be apart
And now there were million reasons for a broken heart

Fast make it fast,
The neurons in my brain had received the signal
I had to act
I don’t know if it was some hormones that made the choice
But
I sacrificed the love that I never had
For the friend that I always had
