Sacrificed Mother, where are you? You left me at the gate. You told me I was there to find my own way... alone. How will that help, the feeling of loss I have inside? How will that set straight all the evil that has passed, between us and among us. The stepfather... he "was" evil. He made living miserable, and hard. He made me want to die. But, you loved him, so I tried... and failed. He used me. You knew. You let him. Mother, are you, my mother, at all, or are you a darker monster, then the one you married, that lives in the house I once called home, long ago.

We all long for the relationship in our dreams, but the reality of life is some are great mothers and fathers and some are not. Abusive parents have to live and die with who they were. Sorry for your experience if this is your story. Hugs, Bill

Any (mother) that allows a child be used or abused by a step or real father, is not a mother at all, a dark poignant poem Ann, but an all too real one, cheers David
