Ruby Red, toboggan on her head,
Loved every creature God would send.
The first came, with a little wing lame,
For Ruby Red to nurse and tend.
This little white dove did Ruby love
And soon his wing did mend!
He'd fly right above Ruby's head, this dove,
And they became the best of friends.
Then one day it was time to fly away,
The dove knew cold comes with the winter winds.
But before he went, to Ruby he sent
A feather to say, “I'll be back again!”

I spent my day shopping for rubies
Luscious, juicy, a delight to eat
Little bits in a conglomerate
A sweet treat in the heat
I spent my day shopping for rubies
Luscious, juicy, a delight to eat
Little bits in a conglomerate
A sweet treat in the heat
Scouring the bushes for a bushel of berry
Tiny cuts weeping red
Plop, thwop, thwack into my bag
A collection by which I am fed
Little mantids crawling up my arm
Eating the endless ticks
Watching them devour the parasites
The red blood making me sick
Finally I have enough
I wash them and dry them in sun
Arrange them neatly on my plate
And devour them one by one
Little mantids crawling up my arm
Eating the endless ticks
Watching them devour the parasites
The red blood making me sick
Finally I have enough
I wash them and dry them in sun
Arrange them neatly on my plate
And devour them one by one

Those Ruby Red Shoes
The 'Wizard of Oz',
a great hit became;
lived on thru the years
with glory and fame.
If I had the chance,
I'd be Dorothy,
with ruby red shoes...
their magic set free.
Those slippers of red,
now valued so high...
if I were her, I'd
ask Wizard, could I
keep them as my own,
their magic to stay...
not just an antique
to show on display.
Tho thousands were paid,
to sit behind glass,
conversely, I would
use this gift with class,
click heels, one, two, three
find those, lost, alone...
my ruby red shoes
would take them back home.

she thinks ruby red shoes
go with everything
from polka dot blues
to metallic emerald greens
clicking her heals
while fashion traveling
over the rainbow
of wild color schemes
bats her baby blues
in her ruby reds
cutting ties loose
if truth need be said
with folks back home
those down on the farm
holding no candle to
what she now has going on
she's found the future
discovered the fame
that circumstance lent her
in black and white days
now technicolor
with purchases made
where ruby red shoes go with everything
life tosses her way

Speechless, a ruby lies on my hand
Cherished by many for its red glow,
Elegantly bold as a fiery dawn
Legends say it improves health and will
Enriching the blessings of life.
Worn by kings for gem's prized treasure
A ruby is a myth's healing kismet
With its majestic russet tones
One pure beauty, quite eternal
Worth keeping for all generations.

A ruby that’s red with fire
Brought about sweet love’s desire
There’s no other that’s higher
Sweet ruby red fire

Those lips
Colorful
Seductive
Voluptuous lips
Are they meant for words
Or for tasting
Come
Let me place
My lips
On your silent
