Wow!!! What a difference a name change can make
Who needs to grow vanilla beans?
No gaseous undertone at all now
Fake news to think otherwise
Gives profound, renewed meaning to this famous line:
"A Rose by any other name would smell as sweet"

The moment I met you, my life would be complete.
That is why, my undying love, I would proclaim,
but I'm sorry, I missed your name.

Perhaps my memory is just a little weak.
I might only need to jog it before we speak.
Then, I wouldn't appear to be so darned lame.

When I hear somebody lay on me their handle,
like some odd name I've heard someplace, Brave Candle,
I forget instantly. I admit I'm to blame,
and that is why I missed your name.
So, I sadly say, though you might think it trite,
we must pass like two ships in the night.

Shakespeare said a rose is still a rose by any other name.
I think what he was saying was, it's pretty much the same;
but wouldn't it be confusing to describe your flower bed,
if you called your beautiful roses something else instead?
If you were planting roses, in late Fall or early Spring,
and you chose to call them Frankie Boy, or if you called them Bing,
or if you called them Jackson, Jiminy or Joan of Arc,
then they would still be roses, our Shakespeare would remark.
"That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet"*
But would you stop to sniff a rose labeled Stinky Athletes' Feet?! ;-P

Chatty, Fatty, Sweet Cheeks, Banana Beak, Mommy, Daddy (no more martinis for my husband) and others not fit to print.

Though "Self praise is no recommendation"
Still I know I'm His best creation.
Now I would like to tell
So let me come out of the shell.
I'm nobody but an eight
Before zero in weight.
Just a little heavy and rolly-polly
Like a ball that is called volley.
Lazy, quiescent and a bit stupid
Actually I'm an innocent cupid.
People call me a fool
and that makes me feel cool.
Meaning of my name is to worship
But that's the thing we can always skip.

WHAT RHYMES WITH DISCOMBOBULATED
I cannot find a word to rhyme with "Opus"
to try and do so is incredibly hopeless.
Even using words like "Door-hinge"
is cheating in rhyming it with "Orange."
No rhyme for "Purple" nor for "Ninth"
and it's too bad the word's not, "Pinth".
"Wolf" and "Month" will bring you sighs,
and who thought "Marathon" was wise?
A word like "Dangerous" is quite impetuous,
this word in rhyme is more than treacherous.
Then to set your teeth on edge,
"Angst" will jump you from your ledge.
"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet"
but, did ever Shakespeare, "Chaos" meet?
If "bliss and suffering is forever shared and forever all your own"
did Dylan Thomas rhyme "Silver" with a word that is well known?
Words that will not rhyme in English,
we positively must extinguish.
If not, then poetry will go, god knows,
and we'll be left with free verse and merely prose.
