Sure enough
they'll be leaving
one by one-by-one by one
leaving a steady stream of grief
leaving pin prick holes
in the foundation of the heart
the tapestry of the soul.
Like termites taking down
a mountain of Mahagony
one clacking mandible at a
time
time is the ravenous masterpiece
these infinite waves of grief
have no mercy
for a thinning beach.

One day soon enough it'll be my turn
to leave behind this timeless stream...
I pray the foundation is restored
the tapestry replenished.

As I walk through the woods, I see darkness within.
Down by my feet is a discarded Dragon skin.
A Dragon whose body has grown to larger frame,
But the forest grows smaller and stays not the same.

The woodland has weakened from an ongoing drought,
And ferns, blackened and wilting, now fail to sprout
Webs in high branches seem like white funeral shrouds,
Whose insects emerge to fly in big, crazy clouds.

Hungry, the Dragon left in search of some fodder,
And thirsty, he needed a cool drink of water.
Alas, he came to a river, so clear and deep,
And thoughts into his head were beginning to creep.

So building a ditch with his tail's mighty thrash,
Water pours to the woods in the life-giving wash.
The next thing he does is his greatest desire.
The Dragon clears out the webs with gusts of his fire.

Been worse
Been less
but now I am blessed
been lost not found
got both feet firmly planted on the ground
 I'm not lack
 I'm not less
 I am Heavenly blessed

Been rich been poor
have had thousands leaking through the floor
Lost houses
 few friends
Have gains have losses
Been replenished over and over again

But in Him my all Provider
He's got some of my wants and all of my needs
And in Him I am
I am completely filled
So I fall on my knees raise my eyes
 and hands toward the sky
And I thank God for replenishing me
over and over over and over again

she opened her heart to the world in a selfless way
letting in glimmers and glimpses of other’s happiness
the world responded with love and attention
wanting to nurture and uplift her as a thank you
She encouraged and coaxed goodness from others
Many strived to be half as giving as she was
she reaped positivity that was replenished nightly
in a dream world that gave her spiritual nourishment
the angels kept their eyes on her, allowing her to shine

Replenished

Every night I wait for that special moment to arrive.
Where the air is the freshest and the busy noise no thrive.
I take a few deep breathes through the barrier free opened window.
The time has come to release the foils of the day that my mind stow.
Finally alone I can retreat to that mysterious place.
Where my surroundings magically disappear as I stare out into space.
My soul engages itself with things old, new, and that are yet to come.
Feelings of euphoria engulfs me as I know my connection to the universe is one.
I am summoned from my bliss by a moth looking for warmth from the night.
Startled by his grossly exaggerated size as he fluttered in the porch light.
A sign that the downloaded message that source intended was finished.
I am now equipped for another day because I have been replenished.

Friendship Replenished

After eight long years fate has brought us back in contact.
Maturity and time apart has gotten us back on track.
With the help of our friends, we are talking again.
For so long I have not seen you,
I'm looking so forward to do that soon
So we can talk under the light of the moon.

I will be so happy to be near you again,
To laugh and chill like two old friends.
To reminisce about all of the fun we had,
And how we used to travel the country paths.

Small town, Monroe, that's how it all started.
Working at Piccadilly, our friendship flourished,
And somehow we parted.
Now we are getting re-nourished.
We were not fully equipped for each other back then,
But now we are on all eight cylinders.
That is why we are back at close friends.
