Regalo Para sa Yellow

1/19 – Bisperas ng Kapistahan
Ni San Sebastian
Abangan
Sa kaarawan

Ng Partido ng mga Dilawan
At ng mga Pinklawan
Sa ating bayan
Ako ay may regalong pag-aagawan

Marahil ng sanlibutan
Kasabay ng isang kasaysayan
At pangyayari sa kalawakan
Ang dapat niyong abangan

Pagmasdan
Ang kapangyarihan
Ng Bunggaitan
Uulan ng apoy sa kalangitan!

Santa Claus – Simbolo ng Pasko

Sa bansang ito
Makahulugan ang Pasko

Kayrami nitong simbolo…

Makikita, mapapakinggan

Matitikman, mararamdaman

Oh anong karanasan?

Kayrami nitong simbolo…

Makikita, mapapakinggan

Matitikman, mararamdaman

Oh anong karanasan?

Gaya ng “Christmas Party” na mararamdaman mo
Saanmang dako ng bansang ito

Isa sa mga “Simbolo ng Pasko”

Kahit mahirap at walang-wala

May handaan at regalo pa

Sagisag ng aming pagdiriwang at pagsasaya –

Isa lamang ito

Sa mga simbolo

Ng makahulugan naming Pasko!

Ikalawang Araw ni Papa Francisco sa Pilipinas

Enero Diez y Seis, Dos mil Kinse

Lulan ng isang simpleng kotse

Unang tinungo Palasyo ng Malacañan

Pinagsabihan mga pulitiko huwag magnakaw sa bayan

Sa pagpasok ng palasyo binasbasan mga bata

Sa paglabas ng palasyo binasbasan matanda

Ikalawang tinungo Manila Cathedral

Huling tinungo Mall of Asia

Daragus 3

-Kaarawan ng Binukot-

15 Ikalabingwalong kaarawan na

Ng binukot na prinsesa

16 Ang pagiging dalaga niya'y ganap

Isang prinsipe ang ihaharap

17 Panahon na upang lumabas sa palasyo

Humarap sa mga mamamayan at mga dayo

18 Ngayong nasa harapan na ng madla

Ipakikilala sari-saring mga binata

19 Tangan ang mga regalo

Sa prinsesang sinusuyo

20 At pagtunog ng mga tambol at plawta

Si Dara'y makikisayaw na

21 Sa mga lalaking napupusuan

Na sa mga pagsubok idadaan.

A Cautionary Tale

Once, a little Spanish girl
was given a "regalo" -
a dainty little potted plant,
a purple-petaled mallow.

She set it in a sunny spot,
beneath a southern window,
re-housed it in an iron pot
and named it, "Don Galindo".

She gave it water every day,
and gave its loam a hoeing.
She talked to it and petted it,
and marveled at its growing.

Her plant rose tall and strong and fine,
rewarding all her labors:
"¡Te quiero!" sighed the little girl:
"¡Que raro!" cried the neighbors.

Joy never lasts, grief always comes,
said someone (maybe Byron?)
Galindo's roaming, ravenous roots
were hemmed-in by the iron.

The fine plant sickened and declined,
all hopes of salvage scuppered:
its lower parts, by steel confined,
could not sustain the upper.

And so, the moral of our tale -
resisting is not giving.
Do not preclude, prevent, prevail -
rigidity's all very well,
but soon turns heaven into hell!
Give in to me -
set us both free -
don't cramp or crowd -
things disallowed
can hardly go on living.

Ahh! So is the heart that's pure;
Such is the love that's sure;

Mine precious

Así es el corazón que es puro;
Tal es el amor que es seguro;

Mio precioso

Just is the mind;
Spirit ever so kind;

Mine precious

Solo es la mente;
Espíritu muy amable;

Mio precioso-Mine precious
Mine precious
A gift from God you are ever so
Mine precious
Un regalo de Dios lo eres siempre
Mio precioso mine precious

Regalo

Inexorable time
Carves the green landscape of memory into precipitous canyons.
It flows with heart’s blood
Reshaping our souls into inexplicable forms,
Sentient tesseracts.

Shall we follow a butterfly down winding trails,
Past waterfalls to a bed of ferns?
My bare feet rest in the stream and I offer you a mango.

On darkest nights my crown of stars
Illumines past and future
With spiraling lambent arcs.
Twenty five years fold into fifty,
Fifty circle to one hundred.

Step inside the translucent halo.
Tell me if a brass key can unlock eternity.

Perdoname Mama

dime cuanto amor te hace falta y te dire cuanto amor tengo
