Love is a corpse

Love is a corpse, 
a slab on table and a checklist of finds,
6’ 2’’, rich, educated, white, slim,
a post-mortem on a body still fresh

Love is a casino,
a gamble in bright lights,
a bargaining of chips falling where they may,
an under-table sleight of hand

Love is a firework,
a hallucinogenic bonfire blaze
that spirals and swirls with a forever
waiting, a

Life's Journey

If you look too hard you will not see
If you talk too much you will not hear
If you think too much you will not learn
If you walk too fast you will not arrive
If you are true to yourself you will be content
You will unlock the secret door

Most times she holds cup partway dark —

Reflection 
Describes how one is seen
Shows your opposite gene,
In the light of day, I see the smiles 
Spreading around, bring it for a while.

Ends up, we all fake it, it seems
It was a reflection of what the world wanted to be seen 
Interchangeable we grief
Leaving the past a mirror of our relief

Coming and going, lights and shadows
The view is blurry and so much, various
I cannot recognise them, dead all. Gone

Objects, places, people, events, memories
Camphor? Glamour? Game? Or illusions
The non-existence of existence. It’s not being

Waterfall of
Dry river

Silence

You stop, you slow down
You see, you listen
You are awake
You are alert
You are mindful, creative
When SILENCE enfolds
You become Whole
Silence becomes you
And you the Voice

Pearls don't sparkle they reflect light

Strong, resilient, iridescent
Trapped in folds, they are translucent
Culture cultivate grafted right

Mollusk secretes nacre layers
Wild pearls fetch prompt giga payers
Placed right they are prettiest sight

Implant good in delicate soul
Ego, pride, hate, lust can play foul
Turn to true source to be moonlight

True colors

A recent brush with death,
makes most people reflect..
They stop and think of God,
not just give him a nod..
It's been less then two weeks
and Trump's back to nasty tweets..
True colors flaring again, slings
mud at Joe Biden.
This man has got the nerve,
"Biden's not fit to serve".
President Biden deciding not to rerun,
not enough for some Republicans..

Maybe I am more than I know and maybe I breathe deeper than I feel it
Maybe there's more to life than I know 
More than my bedroom even though I enjoy the dark blue walls I sleep next to
I see things I see things deeper than they appear like the side mirrors on cars Maybe

In the twilight of our thoughts, I reflect,
The next life, a shadow deeper than this,
A realm where twilight turns to velvet night,
We must prepare a light, a gentle beacon.
Through the corridors of dreams, I wander,
Through the echoes of unshed tears,
Where ancient stars whisper secret truths,
And shadows weave the fabric of the soul.

We stand still as stone, hold our shape over time 
Watchers of the mosque, we watch as masks walk
Each passing stride a new universe of re-re-redesign
Every step under us, on the same curve of cold rock

Carved from the whole, statues with earth-turning toes 
Clay feet on a cobbled road, yet we continue
Seeing the still-captured unease
