A life recovered from Stygian depths
tainted by the horrors of dark abyss.
He falters as he takes one thousand steps,
a life recovered.
Pale sunlight stippling through with warming bliss,
luminescence he warily accepts,
burning too brightly after his darkness.
There is a shortening of his sharp breaths
as stark reality he soon percepts
that forces him from his grim regrets,
a life recovered.
D DAY June 6 a repost remembered
Lost in France,
Resting 'neath a simple cross,
Just name,nationality and rank;
Giving of life,was his loss.
At home,
A breaking,aching heart;
A sweetheart's pain;
Her emptiness was another's gain.
In memory fading go
As echoing years slip by,
And still her tears flow;
Vivid yet her anguish sigh.
Forgotten,forfeit and for what?
freedom frailties,fragile,
Such ideas still beguile;
T'was ever thus,a peasant soldier's lot.
Broken ideas recovered
My mind is shattered like glass hitting the pavement.
The rest of my body functions properly.
Mixed thought broken in my mind nearly wasted sloppily.
Eventually re made, to something that works cockily.
I nearly could not recover it all, it nearly got wasted.
Generation that has seen world
Now generation weep deep swirled
For the damage done to it plain
Recovered generation reign
Now generation build buildings
Delights being seen with deep feelings
Generation will lift high not feign
Recovered generation reign
Our youth that has seen the world
Youth that knows destruction unfurled
Generation's respect will be ingrain
Recovered generation reign
Gone.
That is what they said.
They said you were gone.
She looked over
and watched it all,
helplessly crying
your name.
She went
months without you
and her little girl,
your little girl,
was born
without you.
She knew inside,
that you were there.
And when reunited,
for real,
she cried for joy.
Now, a family again.
But only in secret for your,
for their,
for our safety.

Books some paper some quills and a bottle of ink
White horse fair haired rider in crispy white uniform
The leaping deer almost invisible in the far distance
Dozens of lithe greyhounds darted in the dark glade
Fair pretty delicate her even gaze tinged with sorrow
Series of quick sketches A finished study A painting
Of a renaissance angel Liquid shining ceramic dish
Air rich with the scent baking roasting pastymaking
Beautiful silver gown long lace veil spring flowers
Immense old oaks and chestnuts branch canopy
Enjoy helping hunt and collect plants of the forest
