Let's be lonely together
Lonely's no fun on my own
It doesn't depend on the weather
I'm lonely because I'm alone
The number of people don't matter
I'm often alone in a crowd
The words that I hear are just chatter
I simply tune out all the loud
Quiet by nature, an actor
I play a good role socially
But inside the governing factor
Is different in reality
When cast in the realm of the spoken
I trip over words I can't see
More natural convey I through music
I speak through it more easily
No need to befriend lots of people
Not more than a few, maybe three
But I'd be okay without any
If it could be just you and me

'nother heartbreak
sorry
never hid one red flag
or warning label
...yet she tried
so
not all my fault
but it's a pattern
I think I might
until I know I don't
some brutal honesty
I squirm free of the noose to
answer the call of the wild
and put 500 miles
between us
before I stop for the night
at some nomad campground
stirring the embers in the
dying light
pondering
what it all means
my love
she says I lied about
well it was blind
until it opened its eyes
now out of her arms
and into my five dollar camp chair
nothing but the moon, the stars
and a VooDoo Ranger
for company
staring out over that endless sea
of loneliness
strumming my ukulele
...singing softly
"Can't You See"

I'm feeling rather silly today
Not that that's so unusual
But I'm feeling even more silly than usual
Read on and methinks
You'll understand exactly what I mean
Have thoughts of what it would be like
To be a ravishing female
Rather than this hunk of male virility
That I am now
Of course I would be an absolute stunner
With a body to die for
Must stop... I'm getting all squirmy
How about if I became the ruler
Of a large African country and signed into law
That sex is officially permitted
In public places as long as you're wearing
A Lone Ranger mask
Oops! Methinks I may be stepping over the line
Alright, how about becoming a
Standup comedian with my own late night show
Now that's more up my alley
Good thing Leno and Letterman
Decided to call it quits
Guess they knew I was about to take over!
Perhaps I should go lie down a spell

An old dying king to name successor:
Likely, his first son, a feared oppressor;
Even, the speed of his new kompressor,
Quick prayers to God, The Intercessor,
His name for three full hours Mind Changer.
“Don’t let the king enthrone Long Ranger,
Who has been to us Happy Stranger:
A prince proud to be dog in a manger!
And should Long Ranger emerge the King
In his ears, Russia’s new bullets shall sing.
Courtiers and guards might round him form a ring
But sure he will be collecting the thing!

The Lone Ranger and Tonto
For years two loyal friends
Riding the range together
Fighting for justice's ends.
Kimo Sabe and his side kick
A Masked Man on his White Horse
And faithfully following along
That Brave Tonto of course.
Dead Mans Prairie
Not a branch of cover in sight
Three hundred hostile Redskins
Had crept up during the night.
You could hear their War cries
As they danced just out of range
Then came a sudden silence
Eerie, frightening and strange.
The odds were overwhelming
Chance of survival nil
The Lone Ranger sighed
Accepting the bitter pill.
This is it old companion
We've no chance if they attack.
But Old Tonto wasn't listening
He was on his horse's back
Heading for the tribes
In a survival race
Yelling over his shoulder
Who you talking to, Paleface.

The Lone Ranger would come to save the day
With his trusted sidekick Tonto at bay
Outlaws didn't have chance
Were often in trance
He left and said “ Hi-Yo, silver away!”

When lifting hair was not a crime
Tonto was ahead of his time
He saw a bald Ranger
Whose mask made him stranger
A real pandemic paradigm!

When the Lone Ranger has his finger on his gun's trigger, he constantly has to pull it.
When the moon is full, he hunts and kills werewolves, that's why he uses silver bullets.
He also uses silver bullets to stop outlaws from committing crimes.
But he uses those bullets to kill werewolves the majority of the time.
A werewolf smashed his way into an innocent man's house.
He tore him to pieces and was also going to kill his spouse.
The Lone Ranger saved her by putting a silver bullet right between the werewolf's eyes.
Whenever he encounters werewolves, he defeats them, each and every one of them dies.
A werewolf was about to attack Tonto and he would've ripped him apart.
But the Lone Ranger killed the werewolf by shooting him through the heart.
Silver was the Lone Ranger's horse until a werewolf ate him and he was also going to eat Scout.
But the Lone Ranger woke up in time to save Tonto's horse and he blew the werewolf's brains out.
Whenever a werewolf tangles with the Lone Ranger, his life comes to an end.
When the moon is full, the Lone Ranger kills werewolves with silver bullets and he always wins.

He's a quiet and easy going sort, friendly and polite.
Always smiling, gentle, kind, in his eyes there is a light.
He's always there to lend a hand with anything that's needed.
He'll carry your bags, find your dog, or see your field gets seeded.
He's the county game warden, most call him The Ranger.
He's there to help us one and all and keep us out of danger.
There's a quiet strength within his eyes, his strength is second to none.
He's the only ranger on the force that's never carried a gun.
No one wants to question him, they just look in his eyes.
He smiles and they just walk away, they never even try.
This is his town, these are his woods, he loves and calls this home,
And trouble never stalks the streets where The Ranger often roams.

Feeling like The Lone Ranger
With my kemosabe friend fighting danger
A horse named Silver
Summer or winter
Baddies cringe when they meet, I'll wager

It's the L -o- n - e R-a-n-g-e-r galloping along
Apprehending the bad guys when they always go wrong
Upholding the law
Beating 'em to the draw
And he's particularly proficient at the game of majong

Lone Ranger
Three days are gone, alone in my cabin
Not a word is written in these rooms of silence
Writing in a vacuum does not behoove me.
I need an input someone with thoughts of their own.
Reflecting my own thoughts in the mirror
Are unbreakable cycles like a troll under a bridge
That can no longer see the difference between a goat or sheep.
Starve it does not being able to catch rainbow trouts
As laziness seeps into his bones.
Sore is my head from trying to burst out of this encircling
Of the stale, fearful of the new, I must read more,
Work by writers I don’t care for, but has something
Different to say or a new twist of words. I’ve tended to
Read too much, Hemingway.

THE LONE RANGER
There once was a man called the Lone Ranger
To his friend Tonto he was no stranger
When surrounded he said
Tonto we'll soon be dead
Tonto replied, what you mean we, Ranger

There once rode a tall man with a mask
It was rumored he drank from a flask
Because wherever he'd go
He'd tell his horsey Hi-Yo
And a man named Tonto shrugged, "Don't ask."
