A cat sat on my lap and I couldn't get up
Although I had to pee
And my knees were achy
As a cat relaxes, she gets heavier
and her bones melt away
In her sleep she twitches
Time was passing and I had an itch
It was getting dark and I was late
But still I had to wait
And she ran and ran through her dreams
Chasing small creatures above and below
Breathing faster in her sleep
I guess I can sit a while longer
When she stretches I will not linger
I will move at last but my foot is numb
Then a door slams and she leaps
Scratching my thighs without care
Off she goes to the food bowl
Why didn't I at first gently remove her
Now I think about punting her over
The fence though it passes
How can I stay mad at those deep blue eyes
Those white paws and fur like silk
Her wild and clever ways
Until the next time when my lap is her bed
And she runs and runs again
Through all of her many lives and too few days
I put my hand out to find just space
those I'd help nowhere to trace
learnt my judgement was misplaced
oh how good bonds go to waste
finding out it's all one way
false personas ran the play
fake facades fade to grey
actions don't match what they say
and I stand striped
a nudie dude
as hands don't grip
a rude delude
everything I had is gone
they all say I get things wrong
as their dance don't fit my song
I'll put steps where I belong
wonder why I write these words
they have group hugs and a herd
reassurance does occur
but nothing true to how we were
believe the worst that I smoke crack
tell the world as though a fact
blind delusion lacking tact
whilst others see your desperate act
and you forget I know you all
limited and predictable
easy routes which move the fool
comfortable in cotton wool
but the herd still gets hunted
individually confronted
quick to shed consulted fronting
as bottoms sheered receive a punting
as that hole in your very face
is seen a maker of bull waste
goals through fouls not to taste
when all see you a fowl disgrace
Misplaced anger
got you kicking the dog
Unleashed volatile attitude
got you punting the pooch
Poor little doggie
don’t know what’s wrong with you
Master’s in a rage ...
even the dumb beast knows,
that madman
needs to be put in a cage
Stifle that anger,
put a muzzle on that violent passion
Clouded judgment
got you living in a consternated fog
Watch yourself ...
or your battering hands
one day is gonna get bit by the dog
All the Ladies love spring flowers
Believe in fairies dancing in the wood
Cupid arrows has their name on
Daisy chains as signs of love
Every lady loves fresh flowers
For birthdays or just true love
Gardens bright with daffodils
Hedgehogs waking for the spring
In an ancient wood blue bells flower
Just strolling in them makes you smile
Kiddies checking buttercups , if butter is their cup of tea
Ladies plucking petals, he loves me, he loves me not
Make believe hidden grottos
Never knowing if April showers will wet you to your skin
Old man river trunbles slowly
People punting and birds a singing
Quintessential English springs
Raining when the weather wants to
Sunny when you give me that smile
Tank tops worn as the weather warms you
Umbrella's at the ready
Village greens with cricket pitches made ready for a day's play
Willow on to leather and then a cup of tea
Xmas thoughts have been forgotten on this spring day
Zig zagging swallows in the skys.

Down by the Avalon at the Christchurch Square
Weeps the living willows, serene, free from care
Nature’s own exotic home, a garden set in greenery
Here the Avon River fountain flows majestically
Victoria Park rest near the Christchurch Town Hall theme
Punting on the Avon is a relaxing pastime dream
This Avon runs along the botanical gardens to view
The Copthorne Central hotel overlooking Victoria park too
You can dine A La Carte while you travel round the city
Punting the Avon without seeing the cathedral would be a pity
Seeing the Bridge of Remembrance over the Avon is awesome
Sort of like Autumn before springtime helping life blossom
Avon River at Victoria Square is Heaven’s garden summery
It runs through Hagley Park, in Christchurch, breathtakingly
Nearest the Train Station Tramway, a few miles from my home
Check out some of the photos here of places where I roam
