Nothing is broken so get up
and walk it off, you belong to the club
of hard knocks; life ain’t fair-
drink whiskey, don’t drink beer;
psychedelics open wide your mind.
She will meet you there to read
all the secrets you believed could bleed
for the passion of your dark Angelica-
with no life preserver you will drown
within her arrogant esoterica.
You don't need to be present in a church or subscribe to religion to be connected to more
You don't need to be receiving a pay check or income from an physical organisation or other individual to be working or to have purpose
You don't need to be an enrolled Dancer in a studio, team and culture to be a Dancer
You don't need to have paid mentors, because some mentor has a paid mentor and has told you not to use your intuition and to just be inspired.
You don't need to be in a meditative state or do psychedelics to see more than this plane.
You don't need to follow trends when your God and your intuition is leading you to set one.
You don't need to be seen or validated by others in order to be great.
Greatness lies within...
And that's where the real challenge is.
Is your greatness self serving, inflating and servicing?
Or is it a vessel to help others understand theirs.
Who do you do you for?
Can you be quiet, listen and be directed in your most quiet, darkest and blind state.
Close your eyes and listen.
My friend is restless in their current mind skin.
He's seeking a deeper connection to something.
Not satisfied with being in the moment of just being.
He's dabbling in mind-expanding psychedelics.
Claiming the trips have been fantastic.
I'm cheering for him but concerned.
That with this subjective expansion.
There'll be an objective contraction.
Kneading his mind into an unrecognizable contraption.
In the '60's I thought we were headed to the Stoned Age
Psychedelics were huge, PCP was everywhere
Yet by the '80's America had turned the page
Teen-agers newly serious, off came their hair ...
And today, post-pandemic, where do we stand
Seems it's every man for himself
~ Never mind where we land
Psychedelics increase
Poke fun at police
Make Love ~
Grow Peace
What if everything was given?
No work, we’re all living a life of ease
Apathetic, we sit at home
With no hopes or future dreams
There's no more need for higher education
We use psychedelics to expand our mind
We close our eyes and travel to exotic places
Eating gourmet food, sipping fine wine
We've already seen the consequences
A privilege extended has become defined as a right
But, when everyone is done
Who will continue with the fight?
Living a life of meaning and purpose
Manifest from blood, sweat, and tears
In an emotional attempt equalize everyone
We’ve digress year after year
We have to remember, survival is the exception
Extinction is the rule
How ironic, the self proclaim smartest of all species
Ends up looking like the biggest fool
In modern times, everything has been given
Humanity is now on its knees
There is time to turn things around
But its starts with personal responsibility
constructs of the abstract
intangible pillars supporting
heavy weight facts
fat psychedelics
slipping
tripping
dripping
through the cracks
odd formless blobs emerging
from the dark vast primordial black
two speeding bullet trains crossing tracks
ending in catastrophic spilled brains contact
special edible weird astral voodoo extract
out of body experience
but now you're back
new air of awareness
winds rushing and relentless
blasting bold and bodacious
strong winding vexations
smothering the human senses
awe stricken dry mouth
have some taking it all in
slapping refreshments
sugar coat this with a pastry reference
who exactly sent this text message
It's been a good run
To the back side of sixty,
The short side of time.
First Hollywood kiss
Behind a pink crepe myrtle.
Thanks, Patsy Werner.
High school was okay.
Didn't help me to focus;
So, my mind wandered.
Surfed Bonzai Pipeline,
Big waves break into lava.
What made me do it?
Vietnam jungles.
I wondered why I was there.
America lost.
Smoking pot. Stereo.
Good fun in the seventies.
Psychedelics too.
And three wives later,
I finally found true love.
We're still together.
My destitute heart,
Saved by the sweetest angel.
I love you, Sandy.
Sooners are my team.
Most winning football program
In the Modern Era.
I am retired now.
But I have plenty to do.
Golf, primarily.
I've been writing more.
Perhaps I will write a book.
I have many tales.
I'd chase young girls; but,
Girls with a "grampa" fetish
Are so hard to find.
If I am lucky,
I will just drop dead one day.
With my peace of mind.
Yes, made a good run
To the back side of sixty,
The short side of time.
Jesus reincarnates on the earth plane
and decides to open a medical marijuana dispensary.
Although business is booming,
he forgets to get the blessing of the DEA,
and soon the IRS becomes his worst judas to date.
Can the savior of psychedelics conjure a reason
to avoid crucifixion in this latter day tale
of medicine, financial derivatives,
and destruction of the empire of symbols?
