A poem not at proper time said--
Though wisdom so well said, gets slighted.
Like Vedas by an aged wife read
In privacy, say, of nuptial bed.

Translation |16.09.2024| poem, wrong time
Poet’s note: Sanskrit has thousands of verses of wisdom, ‘words well said’. This one is taken from my selection of translations. Here is the first of the twain. It talks of a verse not at the right time said. The next one talks about something said at the right time and place. The examples given to illustrate the point are quite striking and humorous. The transliteration of the Sanskrit verse follows:
Avasare na cha yat uktam subhaashhitam, tat cha bhavati haasyaaya |
Rahasi praudha vadhoonaam rati samaye, veda paatha ive ||
Gallstones as big as pizza pies,
Indigestion led to surprise,
Surgeon smiled like Mona Lisa,
Did you eat that much pizza?
Fair, fat and forty,
Fatbuckles, you were naughty!
Bells did ring, ting-a-ling,
Samaritan love did bring,
Pizza still tempts, grey sighs,
Prime time love, spark flies,
Is this a silly stage? I say
"Looks like it!" Well, ole!

Rad non-duality
Is simply the notion
That there is no one:
No separate one
To do or to think..
In other versions
That one seems to
Linger..albeit in
Rarer and rarer forms
To finally disappear..
A story of lingering
And disappearance
Playing in prime time...
Some of those closest to me
are concerned my poetry
does not rhyme
every time.
I do not complain,
but try to explain
that total symmetry
is not important to me.
The meaning of a verse
is, for better or worse,
the point of a piece.
Rhymes are just grease.
Mental lubrication to let words slide by,
while I try
to impart a certain feeling,
repulsive or appealing.
This frees myself and my reader from the
tight restraint of what seems sing-song.
But maybe just this once,
I will kind of go along.
PRIME TIME
Time the essential factor of life, not to waste,
Yet at every step not to make haste.
Not to lose opportune moment but to remind,
unfulfilled wishes to leave behind
for not utilizing time which you cannot rewind
It is not so easy rather too tough
Time is ruthless acting rough.
On eternal journey Time proceeds,
With short span, human life rushes, recedes
reaching a status at last
with short future and long past.
Precious time is budding youth
to work along East-West, North-South
That is the scope to make progress
on effort to access success.
Youth flies faster leaving message
of limitations in old age.
Then, no new venture scatters rays
Just to ruminate bygone days.
To work back, Time will not permit.
At right time your paper to submit.
Precise Time is prime
to make Life sublime.

'Time' Contest by Chantelle Anne Cooke
This is a love poem
But it has been hijacked, censored
Don’t lean in, I can’t read it to you
It is not for public consumption
It is not for family consumption
And it is certainly not ready for prime time.
Lad, use thy prime time
Despise thy prime time
And behold as thou wilt
Loose thy shine time.
Life is not a roller costar
If thou wilt not sit and ponder
Thou wilt with thy own hands falter.
Lad use thy prime time
If thou hated a future lime time.
Art thou not a seer of the successful?
Life is not only for gin and juice
So if thou wilt really avoid mass losses,
Start now by planning the wearing of thy
Victories.
Who says the top can't be crowded?
If thou slacken and refrain from
Utilizing thy potentials, thy top wilt be blurred
And crowded when old age knocketh...
Lad, use thy prime time.

its their only life
(Of a lottery winner on being asked
what his feelings were since
becoming an instant

His answer was both aromatic
and precise.
“It reminds me of a deep
‘Profound Fart’ In that
it pisses everyone off,
yet the effect is pure
alleviation.”

Prime Time
by Rick Rucker
'Tis easy to see, I'm not in my Prime,
Equally true, I value Time.
I don't wish to waste it by doing something silly,
Much prefer to be with You, My Love, when you're wearing something frilly!
For all the time I thus spend,
I get quite a dividend!
Each second of such Bliss, seems much longer, like a year,
All I need is to get near
You, and then Times ceases,
Gives it back in giant pieces!
This technique I'll employ,
Soon enough, once again, I'll be a Boy!
