Penny Saved Is A Penny Earned Poems | Examples

a penny saved is a penny earned
adding insult to injury, her love was spurned
afraid of his own shadow and against all odds
airing his dirty laundry happened to both Todds
the all mighty dollar earned by a chip off the old block
all talk no action and an axe to grind, said Mrs. McLock
barking up the wrong tree was a little dog too
quiet as a mouse was my mean Aunt Louise Sue.

Sticks and stones will break your bones
But hard liquor will kill you quicker

A penny saved is a penny earned
A dollar lent is a dollar burned

Free advice doesn't cost a cent
But it won't help you pay the rent

To gain success trust your ambition
Don't ever trust a politician

Live your life by the golden rule
Don't waste your life by being cruel

Take deep breaths when feeling nervous
Thank a veteran for their service

Live for today forget the past
Fair weathered friendships never last

Don't let hate invade your heart
It's hard to quit once you start

GRANNY HAD A WAY WITH WORDS,
THAT HELPED ME UNDERSTAND.
REMEMBER TO WEAR YOUR THINKING CAP,
INTELLIGENCE IS IN DEMAND.

SAY YOUR PRAYERS EVERY DAY AND ALWAYS,
KEEP THE LORD BY YOUR SIDE.
WHEN OPENING THE DOOR OF OPPORTUNITY,
MAKE SURE YOU OPEN WIDE.

YOU'RE GOING TO TRAVEL,
THROUGH TIME IN LIFE.
YOUR TONGUE NEED NOT,
BE AS SHARP AS A KNIFE

A PENNY SAVED IS A PENNY EARNED.
NOW, THAT ONE WAS A WINNER.
ALL THE PENNIES I PUT TOGETHER,
BOUGHT MORE THAN JUST A DINNER.

A STITCH IN TIME WILL SAVE NINE.
KEEP THAT ONE IN MIND.
KNOW THE VALUE OF A DOLLAR,
YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL FIND.

OPEN UP YOUR EARS.
OPEN UP YOUR EYES.
OPEN UP YOUR MIND,
IN TIME YOU WILL BE WISE.

EVERY DAY YOU GO THROUGH LIFE,
THERE IS SOMETHING YOU SHOULD KNOW.
LIFE IS NOT A RERUN,
IT'S YOUR LONGEST RUNNING SHOW.

WE MAY FALL FROM TIME TO TIME .
LIFE ISN'T ALWAYS BLISS.
PUT IT BACK WHERE YOU FOUND IT,
ONE DAY YOUR GOING TO NEED THIS.

I'M JUST LOOKING BACK IN TIME,
TO SEE WHERE I AM GOING.
UNDERSTANDING WHAT GRANNY MEANT,
MEANS I CAN GO FORWARD KNOWING.

Owe Nothing

Owe no man nothing but love
I say not a penny above
For owing in kind
Suppresses the joy and peace we could find

Owing is tomorrows money today served
Deluding with pleasures and class to be deserved
Where a difficult term ahead is reserved
For an uneasy friendship to be preserved

Let discipline be to your toil a defender
Against the all so willing lender
For he knows your appetite
For his money is as high as a kite

A penny saved is a penny earned
Each day towards the success yearned
A slow, gentle but steady rise
Will amount to a count of surprise

Benjamin Franklin’s theory of money spent? But I can’t figure out where my money went?Franklin’s way of a penny saved is a penny earned?Yet there is so much to learn? However our current economy way, “Make it the best way you know how”?Someone could really argue at the economy? But wallet you must behave?Credit cards there should be no crave?Penny’s that do add up?The idea is how to save so you don’t get fed up?But how does one keep up?SAVE, SAVE AND SAVE?But it is up to the individual spender being the wise economist ?It does take someone to be a scientist? It is all those calculating dollars?A lightening charge with an idea?Planning is how you will preserver?Take it from Benjamin Franklin who knew back then?If you think on your actual cash flow, this puts you in the know? The floor plan was Benjamin Franklin’s presentation show.

Special Assignment

So I am writing this poem for my mama Dane.
If I were my husband Ross this would be such a pain.
For her sake I will do my best.
I will put my writing skills to the test.
This isn't hard,
as I go through each line level.
This special assignment will be complete before I rest.
Once complete I will not have a pest.
"A penny saved is a penny earned", I like money.
You wouldn't believe that I live in Germany.
I pray I may stay dilligent in writting so I can say, "yay", when I'm done.
I'll keep out my puns.
God blessed the broken road that led me to my love, Ross.
He has blessed us both with such a fondness.
It is astonishing how unbelievably wonderful our wondrous love is.
It is not fun writting this,
But I shall be happy when my eyes can look back to games.
For my patience with this poem is quickly running on empty.
Very soon I shall leave this to have fun.
"As we near the end" I will end 20 lines from where I had begun.

They say you are not worth much these days.
However, in monetary transactions, your presence stays.
In stores and banks, you can always be found,
even though some folks will not pick you up from the ground.
You have been given a misnomer by many.
They have mistaken you for a British counterpart, the penny.
“A penny saved is a penny earned” is what Ben Franklin said.
That saying persists even though the man is now dead.
There have been many piggy banks you have been in.
You carry the profile of Abraham Lincoln.
It does not take a very bright scholar
to know you are one-hundredth of a dollar.
More people should get into the habit of saving you each day.
You are still considered money, and should never go away.

Huh?

I need to ask a question
Does anybody know
Who made up these crazy sayings
Like walking to and fro

They say it sales like hotcakes
Do hotcakes really sell
They call a skunk a polecat
Is that something to do with smell

Stick it where the sun don't shine
What's that supposed to mean
Or a great Idea is always heard
But very seldom seen

A penny saved is a penny earned
Well, how are you gonna eat
Or I've never met a person
I didn't wanna meet

So, if you know this answer
Somebody let me know
Until then, I'll be waiting
Just walking to and fro
